Sunkissed Banded Motley

Jay@PJCReptiles

"Quality Before Quantity"
Hi Everyone,
This one just shed and I thought I would share a few pictures. The Motleys in this clutch are all banded which I think is an added bonus. This was produced by breeding 2 Normals het Anery, Sunkissed, Motley. Thanks for looking and I hope you like.

IMO, that doesn't appear to be a "banded" pattern. The saddles should wrap all the way around the sides to the belly. Are there others in the clutch with saddles that come more than halfway down the sides?

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the pics.

Of course, that doesn't take away from the fact that they are sunkissed mots, which is in itself awesome. I'd love to see the whole clutch.

I agree with the comments about the banding, but I can see where the regularity of the pattern makes it look banded from an overhead perspective. I've been waiting to see more motley sunkisseds just to see what sunkissed's "anti-mot" effect would do against motley. It looks like sunkissed wins that fight! I think this hatchling looks waaaay cool.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I guess I can see what you mean about it not being banded. I wasn't exactly sure where the pattern should end on it's sides and it's pattern seems to be almost perfectly placed. From the top view it looks different then what would be called a "Regular" Motley so I thought it would qualify as banded. Either way I think it is a pretty cool Motley.

I think I can be of assistance on this one Dean. I have another from the same clutch that has some strange belly pattern. I know Sunkissed gene tends to have an effect on Motley but I just decided to post pictures of the one with the cleanest belly. We are off to Fort Williams with a few snakes for a photo shoot and I will post some pictures later of the other Sinkissed Motley.

Very nice motley. First sunkissed motley ive seen with a clear belly. I to would be interested in seeing the others of the clutch as Im still not sure about something have belly pattern being a motley. But Im told the sunkissed does make them have belly pattern.

That's a good one. Caught me with a typo. ;) The Sunkissed in this clutch are somewhat mellow, a little high strung but are OK overall. Now there is an Anery that came from the clutch who is full of nothing but hate and discontent. I swear he thinks he is a King Cobra. I will pick him up and he will repeatedly bite me almost the whole time I am holding him. He is so intent on biting I can almost make him dance like a snake charmer would. :grin01: I will point my finger close to his face and he will rear up, actually hold his mouth wide open and strike. I will see if I can get a picture of him doing it. I think you may be right Fizz, "Sinkissed" is a very good description of these. :D

I agree and wouldn't call that a banded motley. But it is a very awesome sunkissed motley. Now an anery sunkissed motley would be awesome! Here's hoping for that 1/64 chance.

Here you go Fizzle,
Here is the nastiest guy in the bunch. This is the one I was hoping would be a Sunkissed Anery when it pipped it's nose out but he is not. He thinks he is a Cobra. True "Sinkissed". ;)

:roflmao: That little guy is the coolest!
"Hey Mom, can we keep him? Puhleeese?" "I will hug him and squeeze him. And I will call him George." :grin01:

GREAT photos!

Very nice pics.

Its funny that out of the clutch your "fiestest" is a non sunkissed because out of our sunkissed clutch this year the most fiestest one was a normal amel not motley and not sunkissed. I think all together the normals and amels in the clutch have a worst temper then the sunkisses. Wonder if that means there het sunkissed lol.

Again really nice snakes.

Here are some pictures of some of the other clutch mates he has. Thanks for looking and I hope you like.
