I received a phone call, about a rescued baby Cornsnake (My daughter's co-worker found it on her driveway and saved it from being stomped on by her husband), to see if I wanted to take it in. I said "sure". So, when it arrived, and I took one look at it, I said "OMG, that's not a Cornsnake, it's an Eastern Milksnake". That was a great surprise! I love Eastern Milks.:)
The baby is a boy.
I checked him over and he looks quite healthy, unscathed in any form, no external parasites, etc. ... he's just wonderful.:)

Here are some photos:

What a pretty little guy, not to mention very lucky not to be stuck to the bottom of someones shoe right now... Congrats on the super find...

Great surprise!! Its always exciting to find unique W/C.

It really was a great surprise.:) Cornsnakes are not indigenous, to Ohio, so, being that it was said to be a Cornsnake, I figured it must have been a lost pet or some such. Was great to find that it was, instead, an Eastern Milk. Had been wanting at least one of these (a baby), and figured I'd find one someday, but never expected to have one, conveniently, brought to my door (nor for a Cornsnake to have gone through such a drastic metamorphosis.;) ).

Hmmmmmmm. You gonna keep it? Looks like a keeper to me!!!

That was dependent on whether he would eat, or not, and ... well ... he ate a very small f/t pinkie last night! :dancer:
Now that he is here to stay, I need to come up with a name for him.:)
For now, of course, he is in quarantine and will be treated (for internal parasites), at some point, as well.

TOOO KEWL! I'm ready to see more of him as he grows. CONGRATS!!!!

Nice find! I used to catch alot of them when I was a kid. They are indigenous to PA so we could only keep one with a proper permit.:shrugs:
