I have been considering different substrates for my corn snakes. I am currently using ReptiBark and although I like the way that it looks I do not like that it is not very easy to clean the waste out of. It is also pretty expensive.
I have yet to try aspen shavings and since it is such a popular and inexpensive substrate I may just end up using that. Although I don't really like the looks of it.
I have been looking at Swheat Scoop kitty litter as an option. It is a natural clumping litter made out of processed wheat. It is said to be absorbent, odour absorbing, non toxic and not harmful if injested. It is also more economical than Reptibark and would be alot easier to clean the waste out of. Here is the company website for more info on the product: http://www.swheatscoop.com/ .
I would please like some opinions of if this product looks like a viable substrate for corn snakes. Thank you.
