Switching Hides???

Don't Be "That Guy"
Alright, here's what's going on. When I first purchased my corn and viv, I only purchased 1 hide. It is a rock cave and that seems to be his favorite hide. Learning that I needed another hide, I made one out of a box but he did not want any part of that. I recently added a nice hide and took the box hide out, so now there is 1 warm and 1 cool hide. The original hide is on the cool side and that is where he spends mostly all of his time. Is this because he likes this hide or is more comfortable with it or is it just because he likes the cooler side? (All the temps are fine).

But here's the tricky part. LOL. When I put the box on the cool side, he spent a good majority in that. So obviously that means he likes the cool side... but I wanted to hear all of your opinions.

My snakes spend most of their time on the cool side as well. Don't worry. They know what temps they need to be.

My corns generally only ever use the warm side when digesting...

Even then they try not to use their hides, yet bury themselves in the aspen or hide in trees...
