Hello All,
I was just wondering if anyone here had any experiance with kenyan sand boas and feeding them. I ordered a baby kenyan from VMS herp and they feed thiers live pinky mice and i am used to feeding mine at home frozen/thawed. Is it very difficult to switch baby kenyan sand boas from live pinky mice to frozen thawed pinky mice? Any advice would be greta appreaciated!

I had two KSB for about a year, I did end up selling them to focus exclusively on corns. They both took f/t for me - one was a little pig and never refused, the other was pickier but would usually eat if the pinky was warm. She ate faster when I gave her a live and balked at the f/t when in shed, so sometimes I just gave in and gave her a live if I had one.

Thanks for the advice Jen. I warm the pinks up so they are pretty warm. I am hoping since she is a baby that she will just taked the warmed up frozen pinks. We will see next week.

I've gotten two snakes from VMS- a baby Nelsons Milk and an adult corn, fresh out of brumation, unfed. Both of them took FT from me immediately, no questions asked, no special prep other than nice and hot, in separate feeding bins from their vivs. If you let him settle in for a week, he ought to be good and hungry, since Sean will have not fed for a few days before shipping.

I don't know how much KSBs are like Rosys, but my Rosy acts like he can't find the mouse if I just put him in with it, but if I pick the mouse up with tongs, he goes berserk!!! I don't even have to wiggle it, just point it at him!
