All 5 of my guys are part of our family, just as much as our 3 children, 2 dogs (^3 dogs^), pot bellied pig, & our rabbits. I treat them no different as far as pampering/love goes... :)

Tanya - have oyu ever seen any of Nerys' animals at all to know that htey are possibly not 100% with her working also??

Do you know what line of work Nerys is in that she may not be able to step away from it to care for her animals?

I do not wish to spark further the flames here but your post there is in much the same manner as what you are accusing Nerys of - speaking without facts, accusations without proof!!

Perhaps if oyu wish to flame her over her personal keeping and her working life nad realtionship, it owuld be better done in private as this thread is hanging on awaiting the results of Windsor's results and also on Lynn's snakes who are receiving treatment.

I will say though that I have in the past taken both reptiles and rodents/mammals form Nerys and instead of appearing to be a money grabbing business person as oyu so state, she has travelled nearly a 500 mile round trip to bring me rodents - her charge? Free, no help with petrol and worried about putting me out because I cooked her a meal to eat before she headed off home. I trust Nerys with my animals - so much so she and her partner have had my newest exotic in thier care for the last week or so until we can arrange picking her up.

Elle - I apologiseif I have in any way seemed one sided with my thoughts during this. I have put alot of posts up saying I am thinking of Lynn and her little ones. I do, of course, also wish you well and am keeping my fingers crossed that Windsor's results come back with some good news amongst all of the stress.

All i have to say in reply to the above is that all that i have said to nerys is directly from nerys own mouth from her own quotes quoted back at her. u can find it all in the posts that nerys has seen fit to post on this subject on the different forums if u care to start at the beginning and work through. i warn u though it could take hours such has been the onslaught from nerys towards elle and lynn.

I have followed the thread ight fromt he word go on the UK forum - I was one of hte first people to reply to it and have followed it since.

I have followed and read the entire post here form when Nerys posted her initial link.

I don't see what your beef is to be honest but I feel it is on a more personal level for yourself rather than in defense of Lynn and Elle. Many more people have said worse although much of that has been moved by the moderators on the UK forum so maybe you didn't read them?

I just feel that you continualy launching attacks towards Nerys is movingthe thread away formt he real issue and that is the sadness Ele is feeling over Windsor and hte devastattion Lynn's little girl is going through over Elyssium :(
 
Thank you for your input brit... however it is people like nerys and her army that have caused the threads to be moved away from the topic in the first place.. If you remember I took great care and concern over the reptiles that were in my home that you asked to be cared for here suring the summer...

I updated you... and was genuinely worried for their wellbeing as they had been sold to you as non-eaters from Mandy...

You of all people should know I am genuine... human... yes... made mistakes .. yes... but genuine...

Nerys blasted her mouth off onm RFUK withinformation that was incorrect and damming... this is what happens you see when we dont have full facts..

At least I admitted my indiscresion in posting so emotively regarding my worry over a contagious vrus OR bacteria...

Nerys can think what she likes... I know from word of mouth and emails her style of posting on that thread in the Uk has put a LOT of people off helping the political campaign she is driven by.

A lot of people who havent posted have emailed me and called me privately to say how thankful they are i tried to be honest and the fact i was brave to admit my mistakes then appologise...

thats what humanity is... recognising failures and weaknesses and becming far far stronger...

humanity is not beating a person or animal down when it has already fallen...

something nerys is brilliant at... and trust me im not the only one that thinks this..





Wrong accusations and lies were told... I tried my absolute best to be honest... put myself in the firing line and then appologised profusely over and over...

NOW the very people that demanded an apology and were baying for blood got their appology... DID THEY STOP THERE.... NO!

More nasty remarks were made.. more phonecalls.. more emails...

Now if the appology I made did not calm them down then they were not REALLY looking for an apology in the first place.

They were simply looking for a public flogging... which frankly is sickening...

I have been threatened left right and centre.. on phonecalls and emails...

I have NO RESULTS back... NONE..

so i still cannot share them... I have been told i am lying and withholding information... the funniest one was accusing me of working for the RSPCA and trying to ruin the reptile keeping hobby in the whole of the UK...

The very people that accused me of over-reacting are the ones now doing it themselves.


As for the people who are involved in the politics of all this I have found their tactics disgusting and bullying... NOT a GOOD LOOK for campaigners who are supposed to be animal lovers... They even warned me DEFRA is watching.. I mean what kind of BIG BROTHER scare tactic is that...

I am only but one person who made mistakes both in my style of posting ( panic stricken and emotive) on the UK forum and with hoping that by admitting my mistakes in general husbandry people could learn and develop better awareness of reptile keeping.

Elle and I are seperate people with seperate animals and seperate mistakes.. I think also people forget that too....

i had a horrible email saying i told everyone I would have results last friday..; when actually that was the earliest the vet was hoping for results on WINDSORS autopsy.. ELLES snake...



I KNOW i could name many people who have carried out poorer hygiene than I now know to be right. have i named them.. NO>>



But anyone reading these threads that has a good look at their own husbandry and thinks.. I WONT POST THE TRUTH BUT YES IM LACKING .....

well ive maybe saved them some heartache in the future..


The accusations hat have been levied at me are crazy...

If you get shouted down at every turn what do you do,..,,

you tend to turn your back on those people and stay away...

I wont be posting on RFUK again but as promised for the people who have actually been supportive and caring throughout this ordeal i WILL post al results when they come back publicaly online.

Well as it stands theres 3 snakes in treatment ....

Elles black milk snake... and my 2 pythons ( one is my daughters the sad thing is it wa sher first python and first snake... and she had waited until her 10th birthday for it as i felt that was an age she would cope better with the gravity of keeping an animal such as this)

.. obviously as we know sadly windsor was euthanised...

The carpet python is not getting worse.. but today the royal is looking worse and shes actually on medication too... :(

My father who has agreat fear of snakes has beenamazing.. he is helping hold the snakes whilsti give them oral bayrtil medication... he is an avid animal enthusiast but disgarees strongly withthem being kept in captivity... he was the ne who first stirred a passion in animals when i was a kid...

the fact he has put al fears to one side for the sake of the snakes has impressed me no end... without him im not sure i would have managed the royals meds alone... as she is a very strong determined snake...


They did however both eat on friday which was a relief... so they obviously still have a survival instinct.. both pythons have been taken from their vivariums and are in hospital tanks ... with no decor.. only a hide and a water bowl... they are in a room thats air temps are lovely and warm and they seem to be active ....

Im more worried now about the royal which is my daughters... it seems to be worsening so if i do not see satisfactory improvement this week I wil ask for it to be admitted as the carpet python was for critical care...

You know the funny thing is through all this upset and difficult time... elle and i have really pulled together... when the select few others were trying to pull us to pieces....

I could have been mad at her for the mistakes she made when my carpet python was at her house and she could have been mad at me for posting info.. BUT instead we have learned from all this.... with no anger towards one another and a great deal of support... we have went through every bit of husbandry and found we were both lacking on occasions... but the support she has given me and i have given her has not been lacking.. we have went to the vets together... satyed up til 4 am working out how we could have passed it from animal to animal.. dealt with any issues such as cleaning and bleaching and the likes....

I think its safe to say that I am the most sanitised , bleached, anti-bacterial home i have ever known ....

thank Lil for your concern... I wil continue to update as I get results...

Im praying for them soon but the vets concern is that they tests were carried out 3 days after the snake had been on medications.. so it may not show the specific virus or bacteria... if indeed one is present.....
 
I felt, and still feel, that it took real guts, here and on RFUK, to admit to mistakes. In the end your motivation was to alert people to a potential problem.
Elle's lost a snake and there are others still ill. That overshadows politics, IMO
 
I've got to spread some repution around before giving it to diamondlil again.

who needs politics anyway? we already know that politicians are liars.
 
I was told on my vet on Friday that he had sent me a letter (not the autopsy report) out on thursday and I still haven't recieved it! Im also waiting on lots of stuff from ebay thats taking its sweet time to arrive so perhaps its just something going on with the mail around here.

Ill phone the vet today and ask when the autopsy report is expected to be sent out.

elle lynn and daughter, i am praying for a good outcome for you all and your pets. you are all in my daily thoughts and prayers. x

its at these times when one feels so usless :shrugs:, but hoping that prayers are answered. :)

Lynn - i know why you did the post hun and I think you were incredibly brave for doing so. I doubt I would have had the courage to face a flaming like that publicly or that I woul dhave been ablet o remain solevel headed.

I know you are a wonderful keeper, you are a good friend also and worth your weight in gold to more people that most realise (me being one of them)

I hope all goes well for both you and Elle and that the sick snakes get better and that Windsors autposy results come back with no nasties that can't be sorted easily for the other snakes.
 
Can we sticky a locked synopsis with regular updates? 28 pages of he-said, she-said isn't really helping me understand what's going on.
 
Hes doing well :) Taking his hidden midication like a champ. I now know the true meaning of "would eat every day if you let him" LOL LOL LOL!

Just wondered if any results have been returned by the vet????? I would definatley like to know the outcome of them.
