Tesseras with different looks

zorro

Old Guy
Colors seem to vary with the Tesseras, I just got these from Don (SMR) today, even though they are different they both look good to me. I think the female is the more classic look.
Thanks for looking
John

John, why do you say they look different? They look the same as mine, to me! Well, the female does, anyway. Are you saying the main stripe of the male is different? Like, jagged?? A little?

I am absolutely in love with these snakes! I wish I could afford to get my hands on one. They are FANTASTIC!

^ agree. The male is brighter and kinda hypo-ish. I like the female's darker look and more contrasted stripe.

But is the male just older? They don't keep that beautiful dark look.

I think they do keep the dark look when they start that way, that female may be a clutch mate of yours. The male is from a different clutch, maybe that's the difference.
John

The first one looks like either a great normal or hypo coloring, and the second one miami coloring. Stunning corns. :D

Seems like what they would look like if they came from 'classic' origins, versus 'miami' origins. IMHO.

Both beautiful, though, John.

I really like the difference in the striping of these guys as apposed to the normal stripes! They remind me of Garter snakes, lol.

I have yet to see an two amels that look alike everyone seems to be different. It could be the hypo gene that is floating around but I think tessersa gene also affects pigment in some way.
