Thai Bamboo Rat Snake!

Hi everyone! It's been quite a long time...

I don't have any pictures yet, but I am just too excited not to tell everyone! :dancer:

I work at a little tiny pet store on Sundays as the resident snake-feeder. We have, at the moment, over 50 snakes of all ages, colours, and species. At first, of course, I wanted to take home every Blue Beauty or albino Nelsons that came in, but I resisted temptation. Until yesterday.

Amazingly, some guy came in with a big tank, stand, and all the goods. He wanted to sell us this "snake he got on the Internet" because (haha) it bit him too much! So the store owner buys the snake and entire setup for $150. (sweet sassy molassy!)

The owner, knowing I have a huge interest in exotic snakes, pointed him out to me right away. A BABY CAPTIVE-BRED, FEMALE, VORACIOUSLY EATING Porphyracea coxi! Thai Bamboo Rat Snake! And the owner agreed to let me have the little lady (minus setup) for $300!

Of course I said yes. After I regained conciousness. <3

In fact, instead of even giving him the money, I'm trading for 7 of my snakes (Yearling corns and Transpecos rats). Pretty much my entire collection, but I was slowly downsizing anyway. I really doubt I'll be able to find another for such an awesome price, but hopefully when she's grown, I'll find someone with a male to breed with.

I just have fallen in love with her. She eats pinkies right in the palm of my hand, and already has stopped trying to bite me completely. I have yet to name her, because I can't think of anything fitting enough for such a beauty. I'll try to get pictures very soon!

What colour is the Incredible Hulk, x10, thats how green with envy I am.
You lucky so & so. I would give my eye teeth for one of those.
Well done and the very best of luck with her, congratulations.

Ciao

Congrats! As Nanci said, I just got a baby CB coxi. It is a male so in a few years we could breed them. That would be pretty cool.

I can't wait to see pictures!!!
