Old enough to know better
My big boy Bootsie is about 950g but has refused large mice 3 times in a row so he hasn't eaten in 6 weeks. He refused tonight. I have noticed him raising his head straight up toward the top of the tank, but he never falls over or any of the other symptoms shown online. He is also "chuffing", sort of a hissy noise.

I will admit we are doing a thorough spring cleaning right now and it has stirred up a lot of dust (my cats can't stop sneezing) but none in the vicinity of the snakes yet.

I will try to get a video if needed, but I hope there is an easy answer to this.

Oh, and last thing, if he IS positive for SG would we have to cull him? He will never, ever breed (none of my snakes are going to breed unless someone wants to do a project together and I would loan them out) so I won't pass the bad genetics around.

Any encouragement and words of wisdom are helpful, I am just hoping it is a spring like last years where every corn went nuts.

I don't have words of wisdom on this, but I do have encouragement. Hugs and best wishes for Bootsie!

If he was a stargazer, he'd have shown signs from birth. They also don't simply 'look up' in corn snake stargazing (which is different from boid stargazing), he'd be upside down a lot, and corkscrewing when held.
