The Crazy Bunch - Ghost Bloodred, Coral Snow Bloodred

Lexcorn

Dreamcatcher
These guys are from a pair of Ghost p.h. Bloodred that I retained from a test breeding in 2003.

I was pretty certain that they were carrying the Bloodred trait, however, only one of the original parents was het. Bloodred, therefore, it required patience for this outstanding result. Both Ghost hets. (parents) have an attractive pale colouration & each presents with the typical zipper effect on the ventral, in addition, the male has an interesting head pattern often seen in het. Bloodreds.

This is, without a doubt, the most stunning clutch of the year.

Thanks for your peculiar response Marcel........

I'm in love! Love does make you drool right? :grin01:

Coral Snow Bloods are one of my two projects. I can't wait to see a solid pink snake. PLEASE post pictures as it matures!

Thanks for all of the positive responses ........I shall, certainly, post further photo's as these guys mature.

I am still in 'cloud 9' at present: 3 Ghost Bloodred & 1 Coral Snow Bloodred out of the clutch & many of the Ghost & Snow (although only poss. het.) show the markers for inheriting the Bloodred trait.

The next step is........... to get them all feeding! Wish me Luck.

Lex.

Looks like the blue 'eyeshadow' that leopard geckos have, particularly as babies, because the purple-black pigment in their eyeballs shows through the thinner skin and skull.

Very pretty, though... and I'm crossing fingers (and toes, and everything else crossable) that there's a nice little snow het or ghost het male in there for me :)

And I'm in love with the amount of fading on the flanks of the S-ed up baby on that first photo... beautiful.

Yes, congratulations! That is one of the most visually pleasing clutch photo sets I've seen. :)

Please keep us updated on the coral snow blood, I'd love to see how that one colors up. :)

I agree....... I have produced quite a number of Pewter, Granite, Charcoal, Bloodred hatchlings this year.........it's such a pleasant change to look at a 'pastel' clutch. Thanks for the compliment on them.

I can confirm a nice Ghost poss. het. for you Chrisi ...........there are only 3 Snow & the last one out of the egg is a male, but, does not show any 'markers' for Bloodred. Give me a little more time to be sure of the gender ratio.

Regards. Lex
