The pippies have come!

I am so excited! Exactly on Day 60! All 13 eggs look good and it seems there is a normal and anery. This at least proves my boy het anery.

This was from a pairing between VMS normal motley male het anery ph amel, caramel and Dakota Corns ghost female (no hets).

Offspring are going to be:
Anerythristic het for hypo and motley
Normals het for ghost (anery and hypo) and motley

Question though, every other corn egg I have seen have looked smooth. These eggs have texture. Just seems strange to me? Not that I am complaining. Coming from virgin snakes and getting 100% fertile eggs is more than I can ask for!

Oh...I just figured you put powdered sugar on them to make the hatchlings sweeter after they hatched

I believe those are small calcium deposits (I've never had that). I think they can be a result of nutrition issues...or sometimes it just happens...and it seems to have little to do with hatching success rates. Someone else with this experience can chime in I'm sure and know more.

All but one pip is out of the egg. Only 4-5 normals in the bunch... I guess its safe to say my male is het anery! LOL

Well, most of these guys have shed and even a couple already ate. Total count is 6 normals, 6 anerys. One hatchling was apparently lost? No clue where it went...

I love the look of hatchling anerys, such clean patterns! One looks to have some faded saddles. I also have one normal with a couple aberrant saddles. The normals look awesome, and in the pics they havent shed yet.

I leave town for 3 days and of course my female double clutched! 8 eggs total, 3 are slugs. The good eggs are pretty dried out and one of the good eggs doesnt look so good... smells bad :nope: I set them up in the incubator anyway, crossing my fingers!
