The Snakes that Ate Christmas

So I made these guys a while back in Dec, before I had even joined the forums and gotten my corn.

They're made from Sculpey III polymer clay and then glazed with Sculpey gloss glaze.

I hope to make more & better ones this holiday season, now that I have a snake model!

Enjoy.

They look like fun--I especially like the christmas tree one. The airport here has a picuture of Fluffy with the outline of a bag photoshopped as if it was in his belly, as an ad for the zoo here, the tree reminds me of it!

Hahah. Thanks. I gave all of them away to my friends & family, but I do have one left on my desk at work. I'll let you know when I have a new batch. Of course, it could be snakes eating anything...

I was thinking cats.

Too cute!! I love the christmas tree snake too!! But can the next one be in blue?? ;) You should do a whole series of snakes eating holidays...hearts for valentines, peeps at easter, pumpkins for halloween.... lol

I love your idea! I could even do snakes that have eaten birthday cakes!

Today I bought some new sculpey, it is bendable and takes on rubbery characteristics after you bake it. I am excited about the prospects.

This is what I got:

It was $12 for 6 little 1 oz bars, but I got a coupon for 40 % off one item next weekend!

I made a bendy little garter snake just to see how the stuff would bake up. I am impressed. It is a little more crumbly than usual to work with, but I should be able to make snakes no prob.
