In the new viv stack I'm building the lowest tank is going to be for the ball python I'm getting my wife soon, is the temperature gradient different enough in this case that I should have a thermostat to regulate the ball tank alone and then have two thermostats for the remaining tanks which will house corns? I know balls have higher temps but part of their gradient falls within corn temp gradients as well. I'm just wanting to know so I have enough thermostats for the set up.

They need fully separate temp set ups.
Keeping BPs in the "safe" zone for corns in dangerous for their long term health.
The target temperatures for ball pythons are as follows:
80F ambient temps, upper 70’s on the cool side.
90F basking temps, upper 80’s on the warm side.
75F or below is unhealthy. Night drops in temps are not necessary.
Keeping corns in the BP temp is not really good for them either.
Use a different controller for each set up.

Also, as Nanci pointed out in another thread, heat rises. With the BPs higher hotspot temp, and the BP being on bottom, it could very easily over heat the corns. So even if you banked on thermodynamics to help gradient the heat off of the BPs warm spot, your setup would be semi-backwards.
I suggest another t-stat for them. Others have mentioned the VE and the Herpstat 2, but since you already have one t-stat, all you'd need is a simpler new second one, like the Zilla 1000 watt (multiple plugins for the remaining corn heaters).

I'm not to worried about ambient heat coming off the bp's heating mat, but I'll run a test run with it and the next tank's temp's to see if there's a raise in temperature. UTH's don't heat the ambient air temp up much so the raising temps shouldn't be to much of a concern and with each tank being a 38 gallon size viv the heat should disperse quite well. Also for my BP would you recommend two UTH's to regulate his tank because 80F is going to be pretty hard for me to acheive in my home for the cool side without another heat source I feel. Also Bloody can you use that thermostat with different temps or just one and it says you can use a power strip with it so I could use one of those to operate all 4 of my corn's tanks correct?
Also if I do set my BP up with a second UTH to regulate his cool side if I have the corn's warm side hide therm's set for 82-84F can it be ran off the same thermostat if I buy the set up you recommended Baroness? If the heat rising does play a big part in temps I'll also switch my layout for each snake and go ahead and move my BP up top.

I think you're just going to have to set it up and test it. It looks like you're going to have to set up two heating zones for the BP. It seems reasonable that the cool side BP stat could control the warm side for the corns. Aside from considering that the warmth of the BP enclosure will raise the temps in the corn bins, you have to take into account that just the difference in height in the room will affect the room air temp. Air on the floor is much cooler than air at the ceiling.
Yeah I'm giving thought of moving my BP tank to the top and setting all the corn UTH's on one side so they funnel their heat up to the BP cool side to raise its temp to the correct heat to see if I even need a UTH then for the cool side. Then also I won't have the worry of the BP tank raising the temps so much in the corn vivs.
