I'm totally embarrassed to ask, but I will anyways
since thats why this site is here.

My baby is an "Albino Snow Motley Corn snake",
or so thats what I was told.

Are all Snows albino? Or any for that matter? Or is that a mistake?
I'm assuming it is because unlike all the snows I've seen mine
has bright red eyes.

Also, what is the difference between a motley corn, and just a corn?
Any difference??

Does your snake have checkers of any color, even light, on its belly, or is the belly white? If it has checkers, it is not motley.

Snow is amelanistic and anerythristic. (Amel + anery) That means he has no black, and he has no red. Is your snake a pinkish white?

Sometimes amel is referred to red albino, and anery is referred to as black albino- I think.

Yes, pinkish white. Her belly is white. In SOME areas it almost looks like an off-white checker, but It's so hard to see and it's not constant... it looks more like it might be a clear spot that I can see through to something internal??

But more simply put I would say I dont think there are any checkers. Or at least I wouldn't call them that. Not like other corns that I've seen at all.
 
Ok, she sounds like a snow. Likely a motley. Does she have nice round circles all the way down her back, like the ones on her neck?

1. From what I understand, albino, when used correctly, indicates the lack of pigment . . . any pigment. It's most commanly used when there's a lack of melanin creating a white animal as in humans. Technically speaking, an Amel is an albino (often called red albino) and anery is an albino (often called black albino). A snow is a "double" albino as it lacks both red and black, but is most often referred to as an albino since it's pretty much white . . . never mind the pinks and yellows they often have!! :)
2. The motley morph is a morph that is recognized by an elongation of the saddle "corners" that tend to connect themselves down the back of the snake. Those elongatiosn can sometimes connect for all or part of the dorsal pattern. Circles down the entire length of the snake does not necessarily indicate motley, nor does lack of circles indicate not-motley. Along with the dorsal pattern, the belly is plain of checkers though it can begin to develop some background coloring, ie red or orange or yellows.

My snow has stripes and her belly appears to be completely white, as well. Do striped snows generally have white bellies, as well, or it that an indicator of some het or...? (<---There's the stupid question... :sidestep: )
 
Drizzt thanks alot that helps quite a bit. I mostly wasn't sure if Albino had to be lacking ALL pigment... or just some? Because if it was fully Albino, one would expect it to be 100% white. Either way I love my snake :p heres a pic:

Yes, stripe has the same effect on the belly as motley.

Aww she's beautiful, and yeah, she looks like a nice snow motley. I would take a picture of mine and show you but he's digesting his meal at the moment so I don't think he'd take kindly to being disturbed lol.
