well 3 adult males got out last nite .... the door was wide open to let some fresh air flow into the reptile room cause for some reason they don't believe in a/c in houses in Washington. So I went out to shut the door for the nite and seen that the glass door had not been properly locked by myself at around 9pm when I brought them fresh cool water. so I looked everywhere for them. even walked the block using my spot light but no luck. so can a corn snake last a winter in Washington? I know we have plenty of food for them and I live 1 block from the marsh , and just about all my neighbors have compost piles. but would that be enough so that I may still have a chance of finding them later if I don't find them know?:crying::crying:

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear this. I wish I had a better gut feeling, but their best bet is that you find them! Just curious, how were 3 doors left open?

OH no, that really sucks. I hope you can locate them! They cannot survive the winter here, unfortunately and there's no place for them to hibernate. I hope you find them before it comes to that.
Just an FYI, be sure to watch when you mow, they like to be in the grass.

I have them in a china hutch that I converted into 10 seperate compartments with a glass door that gives me access to 5 at a time.when.opened well I have a lock I put on the door so they cant open it well I for got to lock it after I gave th fresh water and feed them. Only 2 of my males stayed amd they were both anery

ive walked the block several times and through mine and 2 neighbors yards .Ive asked several people ive seen walking. And I moved into my new place only 23 days ago... what I have found is 2$ in change 3 garter snakes and 1 tree frog

Put out blue painter's tape inside, there is a chance some of them are still indoors....

I put out the moving tape im the corners and all the way across both door . I had scotch tape because I thought 1 of my hatchlings got out. But found out my wife had given him to his new home already. Cause they guy got off work early and could pick up his new baby early.

Get that moving tape off of your floors!!!!

I can scarcely explain what a heartache of an ordeal you will be dealing with if your corns get caught on moving tape. You might as well put out rat traps.

Go out to your nearest hardware or paint store and buy 1 1/2" or larger Blue painter's tape.

I found one he was climbing into the cypress tree in my back yard amd boy he ate good while he was loose... he had eaten the day he got loose but he has 2 good sized lumps in him... what should I give him to make sure he doesn't get any parasites from what he ate
