I have a Corn that I think is a little over a year old. He is ~30 inches, and I have a 65 gallon (48"lx18"wx17"h) tank for him to eventually occupy. Is he too young/small for that sized tank? Could this be too stressful for him?

I don't think it's really the size of the whole vivarium that matters. If your snake can find security (hides) and comfortable temps in its home it should be okay.
Wild snakes have an entire continent for a viv, but only use a small part of it.

Sounds like palatial surroundings - lucky Corn.

I would echo the need for lots of hides throughout the various heat gradients. Plastic foliage (in addition to the hides) provides good general ground cover and looks great. Can be a pain to keep clean, but it can withstand a lot of washing.

I'd also make sure that the tank was absolutely escape-proof for a Corn his size.

Other than that - go for it!

I agree with the other postings. I personally LOVE looking at a big tank with lots of rocks, limbs, plants, etc., and the coolest item of all - a happy corn snake!
