Transporting eggs

Hi, sunday on the 8th of november my female layed 11 eggs. All of them are fertile and good. But todag on the 11th jan we moved about 1200km to a new home.

I had a power inverter so the eggs was in the incubator at the right temps the whole time. My only corncern is that the vibration of the car could have damaged the eggs in some way? My uncle said that there is a chance that it could have caused deformed snakes but he is not sure.

I would be concerned about them rolling over from the vibrations, and bumps, etc.. Did you put dots on top of the eggs to make sure they were kept in the same position.

As for snakes being deformed I do not know, as I have never heard about that happening.

Correct, Nanci. Clutch was laid one place, shipped overnight in the mail, hatched successfully somewhere else.

There were also experiments involving deliberate turning of the eggs at different rates. All from one clutch, some turned, some not turned, all hatched.
