Twins?

This may sound stupid, but I've seen a video on YouTube of multiple snakes hatching from one egg.. is this a real video? and is it possible with corns? I apologise if i'm being gullible lol.

Yes, snakes hatch twins with some regularity. I guess we see one to six sets here every year. It seems like if there is a set of twins in a clutch, then there may be more than one set of twins, too.

Awesome. I saw it on youtube and wasn't sure whether to believe it or not. there's a lot of rubbish on there these days! Has it ever been proved to be linked to temps or anything? or is it just random.. also i've heard higher temps can make eggs hatch sooner, but does this cause the snakes to be smaller/weaker? Thanks

higher temps make the snakes come out faster, but they will be weaker, smaller and have a big chance for deforming... I have had a clutch once that had a heat spike and all the litlle ones had kinks...

Yeah I saw somewhere a picture of a baby with a kink in its neck which was apparently caused by a heat spike. I've kept my temps between 81-85 F. Day 52 today so i'm guessing they're nearly full term. I just hope theres nothing wrong with them

As far as your twin question it is random there is nothing that you can do to increase your chances. Nor would I want to. Twins especially identical seem to have a hard time getting started and some don't make it.
