Two new vivs all in one!

So I currently house 3 corns in glass tanks. One is in a 20L and the other two share a 40L (divided). Since I am getting another corn! :D I have to make room. So...I decided to turn my shelf into two vivs.

So I laid it long ways to make it 2ft 6inches long and about 2ft 2 ins high..being 1ft wide.

The door frames will be hinged after painted sometime later. Hopefully they will swing out and will have plexi glass.

Right now My sister and I are painting the door frames. I will paint everything today. Secure the shelf with silicone or glue...and then work on it maybe tomorrow when I get plexi.

I hope to drill holes in the back like peg board. Making them small right now because babies will be in there. I'll keep posting pictures and updates. Almost done! :D

99.9% DONE!

So when I start something I like to get it finished. It took me not even two days to make this viv.

So here is how it latches,

Hinges,

This is how the heat pads will work

Plexi is placed over the holes so I can foil tape the heatpads on.
SANY3464.jpg

So I cut a square like hole to fit the plug in of the UTH. I will cover it up with screen when I get the UTH in place.

Each viv has drilled holes for air flow.

Final viv look

All I need is two install the UTHs and put a plastic bottom to make it easier to clean and get the snakes in! :)

Updates maybe tomorrow if the silicone is secured.

So the vivs still smell like silicone even after keeping them open all night and day. But maybe tomorrow I can move them. Well I am putting in plastic to make it easier to clean and make the wood last longer.

Both shelves are covered

Each shelf will have this boarder so the aspen stays in

FINISHED

So I moved the snakes in! Hopefully they will like it much better! I sure do because now I can open the lid and not have a snake fall from a ledge.

Look at you! I'm impressed. This is something to feel very proud of.

BTW, I hope there's no super secret hidey holes in those fake log trees. ;)

I'll go ahead and give you my answer to "super secret hidey holes"
Tang's doesn't have one. However Chaos and Astra have the holes under the log trees.

When I bought those I went ahead and filled them in with and taped over the hole. I am smart :D So it is all good. I made sure after reading some threads about snakes hiding.

Thanks everyone! :)

Great job! I love the rack! Your pics made me decide to make my kids all nameplates. Now I just have to actually decide on a name for my new gal... =P
