Two-probed thermometers?

New Avatar!
Does anyone know of a brand of a two-probed thermometer that can measure a cool side and warm side at once? Preferably I would like a thermometer that reads temperatures correctly....

I just got a temp gun on loan and realized how completely OFF my thermometers are....grrrrr:angry01:

I think bigappleherp sells them, but they're not cheap.

I use the indoor/outdoor 2 display thermometers and put the probe on the hot side with the unit itself stading on the cool side. "IN" is the cool side temp and "OUT" is the warm side temp.

I use the dual-probed thermometers from BAH. They seem to match the thermostats' digital readings within half a degree or closer. They are cheaper the more you buy. I have nine in use right now, and have had two previous ones have an LCD failure, one of which they replaced and one of which I didn't bother since it happened many months after I purchased it. Most are set up to monitor hot sides in two vivs, three are set up to monitor a hot and cold side in the same viv.

Hey Nanci

Hey Nanci... not tryin' to hijack, just back on the forums for the first time in FOREVER. How is Maizey doing? Which thread are the most current pics in? You can pm me so we don't kill this thread. Just saying hi.

To answer the question of the thread... imho the best place to find such things is either at a local reptile expo or from a reptile accessory supplier online. I think we have one on this site that is a sponsor... not quite sure as I haven't been on in a while... anyone know which I am referring to? I forget the name.

I just sent you a novel- I've had a TON of new additions!!

The only twin probe thermometer that I've seen was identical to the BAH one. To offer an alternative that might work depending on your setup, I've seen a few other people here use a similar setup to what I've done:

They each have a single probe that I've run under the viv, up and over the back, and suction-cupped inside.
These ones aren't extremely accurate, but Zilla sells some much nicer ones that would probably be better.

Nice viv

Dude... nice viv man. I need to get a taller one like you so I can get those vines and bendable branches going like you. Nice setup.
