First question: Is it safe to burn incense in my room where I keep my snake? Second question: She's about to shed, she's in the blue phase now, how often should I mist her, it's not too humid here so I'm pretty sure I should. This is my first shed with a snake ever, and she's so tiny I want to make sure it all goes down smooth. Any advice on this would be really cool, I'm a little nervous. Danka.
 
As long as the incense isn't so thick that your room resembles high mass at the orthodox church, I don't see why not; let common sense be your guide. Don't have the incense burner right next to the viv, and use it sparingly. If someone whose nose isn't acclimated with "sensory overload" walks into the room and thinks that it's too strong, it probably is for your snake, too.

As far as the shed.....when my snakes are in blue during winter months here in the Great White North, I'll mist the viv every day, and about every other day during summer months. You may also want to consider using a humid hidebox instead of misting.

you get like a little tupoware container, and mist paper towels and place htem on teh bottom, with a hole in the lid big enough for the snake to get into. If I'm wrong in anyway, someone correct me, but this is the way I know.
 
Take a "Gladware"-type plastic sandwich box, turned upside-down in the viv, and cut a notch in it for the snake to enter/exit. Place moistened moss (sphagnum is usually the moss of choice) in the box. Make sure it stays moist in there for the duration of the snake's shed cycle. Easy, no?

Awesome! Thanks for the help. This weekend my parents and I are going to get some of the moss and set her up.
 
Until you get the humid hide set up for your snake, misting once a day would be a help if you've got really dry conditions. I've had 2 of my 4 shed in pieces and keep good records so I prevented the other 2 from doing the same by misting their viv daily while they were in the pre-shed/blue phase.
 
Once a day should be fine...I usually mist the snake down directly...

I have never used a humid hide...but most people swear by them...if the snake will use it.
 
Snake Shedding

wats good someone help me out i wanna know how long my baby corn snake is supposed to take to shed after the eyes have cleared up again cuz its been a day

My ball python took up to a week after her eyes cleared up. My corn is an amel so her eyes never seem to cloud over.

It depends on the snake, but I've heard it can take anywhere up to a week after they're done with the blue phase. Zeke's personal number is around 3 days, so you probably have a bit of waiting to do.
