Two Snakes Missing in One Apartment

And thanks again guys.

My non snake friends have been razzing me for weeks... their pets get hit by cars- at least I can control Bugs environment while he's exploring.

haha, I love it, "non snake friends".
I forgot, our adult corn did get out one time last year! We got lucky though, our neighbor knocked on our door and said "There is a huge snake in the driveway!". we run out front and there he was. She about had a heart attack when I picked him up. One of the metal clamps had not been completely secure and he somehow got out of his cage and out through the garage door. We still arent sure how he got out of the garage door, it was closed and locked. So I guess in 7 years I have had two snakes get out. My ball python has never got out though, and we have a new 2011 mexican milksnake and he hasn't escaped yet... lol.

lol.. I have had several snakes escape since becoming addicted. I expect this from my lder guys who get free roaming of the bedroom... someone as small as a penicil though.... yeah..

Guess what! You are not the only one to have one escape! That is for sure. I had one escape for 7 1/2 months it was gone. And then by some miracle the neighbor/maintaince guy found it under our trailer hiding in a pvc pipe. So I got her back and she's doing awesome! She is in excellent shape. But it's devastating to lose one. I've also just since August this year had one of my hatchings escape, never found the little one. Then last night my oldest girl Diamond she's 5 yrs old escaped her cage sometime without me realizing it and I freaked out so bad, I thought I was about to have a heart attack. I love Diamond so much. But for some reason, her clip was on the floor next to her cage, and so she got out. So I tore that bedroom apart last night and I found her pretty quickly, she was in my top dresser drawer thank goodness. Now, I've got two tight clips on her enclosure in the front, and one on either side of it holding the screen lid tightly closed. I sure hope you find yr little one soon. Good luck!

I also had an escape this weekend, My male and female both escaped out of the same cage. They escaped Thursday night and I found them Friday night.

Mom was not pleased. lol

You're definitely not the only one to have an escapee. My anery boy was gone for nearly a month before my grandma found him, unfortunately I was out of state and she didn't know what to do with him. So, by the time I found him, the cat had found him first and he passed away over night :( My other escapee was my very first corn and I had her all of a few hours before she got out. Someone thought she was venomous and called the cops and everything, but they determined she was harmless and put in a park >.> I've been using tubs with latching lids for anything under a year since and have had no issues.

Hey All,

So I left some pikies out and got a little excited to find them missing..

Turns out my cat ate them...

I am trying not to tear my house apart looking for him, but I may organize a sorting out day with the girlfriends and hopefully scare him out that way.

Hope your girlfriends love snakes.:eek1:
Had my one and only escapee last month but he came and found me the next day. I was freaking

Haha,

The girls always help me out when it comes to the animals, one is a former snake owner, and one is my protege whom I passes the addiction onto. :) Anyone who comes into my apartment needs to be okay with my scaled babies or they can sit in the lobby. :D

I wish I could convert my boyfriend, lol. He's not really an animal person, but he is the first one to loan me money when I find a rescue in need or have a vet emergency. He's compassionate, but he prefers that I didn't have twelve animals in the apartment. :S

I got my husband interested in snakes. He always liked them but now he is more obsessed than me.

My wife wasn't crazy at first but I've got a couple of friends that always had snakes. Now she tells everyone that they're not at all bad. My 12 year old daughter loves snakes and wants a hognose for herself.

Hey guys,

I have a question...
I still haven't found Bug... so I was wondering if I should ask my neighbours.. o_O
I'm terrified to ask them.

I'm not sure on the whole asking your neighbours front, but I certainly hope you find him. My little guy just got out two nights ago, so I share your panic. I'm also not suppossed to have any snakes, but I love them so much. Let's hope we both find our little guys soon. Good luck :)

My snow corn escaped not too long ago. I didn't even notice she was gone and figured she was buried in her aspen. Went to take a nap and I'm lying in bed when I feel something cold moving around in my pajama pants. Turns out she wanted to cuddle in bed with me or something lol. Right now I have a ton of heavy stuff sitting on top of my snake tank to hold the lid down, but I want to switch her to a tank that actually locks closed.
