Umbilicle cord?

Hi i had a clutch of 15 eggs hatch and 2 of them have what looks like an umbilical cord. What if anything should i do? will it just dry up and fall off?

In my opinion I would treat it just like a new borns. It will eventually fall off but keep an eye on it and make sure no infection sets in :)

I had two with this. I put them on damp paper towels and the cords fell off in less than 12 hours, with absolutely no trace.

They just don't finish up absorbing the connection to the egg yolk, before leaving the egg.

I had one two years ago that took almost a week to lose the dried up yolk sack, but eventually it did and no problems came of it.
