What do you guys think? If so, I'm gonna double up the last pinkies I have before moving up. She's also 22 grams and about 18 inches long.

I'm really cautious when moving up a food size. I have a little girl that is 41 grams and I just now moved her up to regular fuzzies. She went from double pinkies to a peach fuzzy to double peach fuzzies and now on to a regular fuzzy. Didn't really answer your question but I hope it helped a little.

hi there first of all what a lovely corn u have there very similar to mine have a look in my album if u like, anyway my corn is 7 months old and he weighs 30 grams i have just moved him up to fuzzies he has been on double pinks but they are not really making a lump in his belly anymore!! i fed him his first fuzzie last night and he took it no problem, generally you can give him a mouse up to 1.5 times the thickest part of his body and you should have no problems, i had the same question as you and was worried it would be too big, i was advised to use the munson feeding plan just search for it on the site it will give you a good guideline on what to be feeding him, i hope this helps you mate let me know how you get on ok.
good luck

I Would follow this feeding plan for right now. Its the best one to work with and pretty easy to follow.

-When they're on single pinks (2-3g), I feed every 5-6 days. (Snake = 4-15g)
-Double pinks (3g x 2) every 5-6 days. (Snake = 16-23g)
-Small fuzzies (5-7g) every 6-7 days. (Snake = 24-30g)
-Regular fuzzies (7-9g) every 6-7 days (Snake = 30-50g)
-Hoppers (9-12g) every 6-7 days (Snake = 51-90g)
-Weaned (14-20g) every 7 days (Snake = 91-170g)
-Adult (20-30g) every 7-x days (Snake = 170+) See below.

Note: Adult females are fed more frequently than adult males (especially following brumation). Adult females are fed every 7-12 days; adult males are fed every 11-14 days.

This is by no means scientific, and not all corns will cooperate 100% with the schedule. The weight ranges I gave for the prey and snakes are approximate.

At this time, you are still at
-Double pinks (3g x 2) every 5-6 days. (Snake = 16-23g)

problem is that peach fuzzies on mice direct are listed as 3-4 grams. the pinks at only 2 grams. Oh what to do when the sizes don't match!!!

I'd still only give two pinks at each feeding, because you don't want to overfill that little stomach. The length of the item needs to be taken into account as much as the width when feeding multiples.

Your options might be to move feeding times a little closer (every 4-5 days instead of 5-6) but ONLY if the snake has completely digested and eliminated it's previous meal. The other option is to buy the next size fuzzy that's at the correct weight and see if it's small enough for the snake. If it's too big, it won't go to waste because eventually the snake will be big enough to take them.

My Anery went from pinks to double pinks to peach fuzzies. She was close to 30 grams when I put her on peach fuzzies though. When the double pinks barely left a lump and were gone the next day it was time for her to move up.

I'd stick with double pinks for a while, though. No need to rush anything. :D

I just feed off of the Munson Plan and I haven't had any problems :) 3 of 4 of my snakes are already on fuzzies. One of them is already up to hopper size, but I don't have any hoppers so I am just going to double her up on fuzzies while I have them. Good luck with your corn! She's beautiful, by the way!

Here's Haya eating her second pinkie! I fed her yesterday and she seems to be content on the warm side of her viv (she's hardly ever there!) with a decent sized lump. I wanted to ask though, before I fed her, I put her on the scale and it read 19 grams instead of 22. I believe the last time I weighed her was a couple days after I fed her a single pinkie. So did her poo weigh 3 grams? :p

It could be--snakes weight can vary a lot depending on their digestive habits. I always weigh my snakes before feeding them, once they've usually already pooped to get a more consistant weight.

I agree with the double pinks, but I want to mention my experience real fast...

I recently (maybe two weeks ago) moved my '08 anery, Hansel, up to fuzzies--probably prematurely; I'm not even sure if I weighed him before I did. The last weigh-in I have recorded for him before going up to fuzzies was the 14th of Feb, and he came in at 19 grams. 5 days later, at his next feeding, I went ahead and moved him up to RodentPro's stunted "regular" fuzzies (approx 5 grams). He also got a leftover 1 gram pink... I was trying to move Greta, his sister, up to two pinks the same night, but the first 4-gram pink (rodentpro=inconsistent) did the trick and she wasn't even too interested in the second pink until right as I was removing it, so I gave the extra pink to Hansel, who ate like he hadn't so much as seen food in months! =) He gulped down that extra pink so fast I only managed to get two pictures of it, and both are ridiculously blurry... Anyway, he doesn't seem to have a problem with fuzzies. I kept an eye on him while he ate, to make sure he could get it down alright, and it was no problem for him.. He just ate slower than usual. And he still managed to finish eating before slow-poke Greta! =) He's been on fuzzies for two feedings now, and managed to get them both down no problem, and for the second feed, he was even in blue. The only big difference I've seen is his ridiculously giant turd after this second feeding, but I only really noticed that because I had pulled him out to check on him briefly, left the room to change water, and found him just finishing his "business" when I returned.

Also, I ditto weighing before feeding. I don't weigh any other time of the week... Unless I JUST got a new snake, in which case I'll put it on the scale to get a good estimate of how big its first prey item should be. All of my weights are taken right before feeding, so I know they (most likely) don't have any extra weight left in their systems.

Regarding the 3-gram poop question.... I've experienced the 3 gram poop question myself! There have been times where I've weighed my snakes a couple days after a meal, then weighed them before their next feeding and they've seemed to lose weight by 3 grams. It's happened more than once, too, so I'm guessing it's pretty normal :p You have a lovely looking snake, though! I'm loving how RED she looks!!

Thanks :) She shed not too long ago. Then again, I also placed her on a foam green sheet to enhance her reds. I'm an art major...always have to have colors perfect :p

And I suppose it makes sense that she loses that much weight after she goes number 2. Hey, if I can lose 3 pounds doing it, she can lose three grams! haha!

I have noticed that feeding a larger amount of a smaller sized prey item produces less fecal matter and the snakes seem to gain more weight between feedings. Not claiming its better than munson or anything, and it is certainly more expensive, but it works for me.

I have found that my snakes retain, on average, 30% of the weight of the food item. So, when feeding small meals, like pinkies, there isn't a real noticeable weight gain. Whats 30% of a 2.5g pinkie...not much! ;)

Didn't answer the poop question but I hope it helps...
