My Little Sunshine
Hey everyone. I haven't posted in a while. The reason being...I stepped in a ankle deep hole. And my foot is completely bruised. The doctor is thinking I have torn a tendon and my two lower leg bones have a huge space between them at the bottom. I am going back to see him this Tuesday to see if I need screws or not. All my animals are doing great. Downsized my Saltwater tank and up sized my cichlid tank. Thanks for reading!

I had something similar happen years ago when an autistic student of mine pushed me off of the bus (it wasn't moving!). Torn tendons. MAN did it hurt! I was off work for months and months, but thankfully I didn't have to have surgery. A cast did the trick.

I hope you get some help and relief so that you can heal as well and quickly as possible. Don't expect it to be fast, and certainly don't expect to have a torn tendon be as good as new even when it DOES heal.

I feel your pain. I hope you feel better asap.

Mrs. Z: oh I know. My mother is a nurse, and told me it could take up to 4-6 months to heal. Can't wait to figure out what is completely wrong. Hopefully the stress test can shed some light.

Ooooo.... I know how horrible that is, too, from personal experience.
Except, I don't have a dramatic story... I was just walking along and BAM I stepped wrong and tore a tendon.
I couldn't walk for 3 months, I think.
It hurt for ever.

Whatever exercises they have you do- DO THEM. That is the best advice I can give.

Good luck.

Thanks Naagas. Oh I will. I was actually burying my dog that I couldn't bury because of the snow and ice. I guess he was trying to take me with him.

Awwwwww.... I'm so sorry :-(.

I don't know about you, but when my dog, Hope, died unexpectedly (blood clots) in January, I wished I could go with her!

Hang in there. *HUGS*

Saw the doctor 4-19. He said nothing is broken or separated. Just a real bad sprained ankle and lots of bruising. I might have to do some physical therapy that is about it.

Now that's a good thing to hear, still it's a pity it happened! I'd do as much as possible to train your ankle back to health, it might become a vulnerable part of your body for ever if you neglect it.
