Updates on Shazam (my black milk)!

Oh, NO! Shazam (and Eclipse and Solstice) are never biters. They ARE initially nervous, but no musking or biting... just trying to get away. They start out tri-colored, but as they get older they get JET BLACK with lots of oily iridescence. They're also kept a little cooler than corns (I've read that if you keep them like corns, their colors don't change as fast and they're a little more nervous). I have mine without heat in a 75 degree room - well they have a little heat in the form of a heat cord that raises one side to 78 degrees. Right now they're all little worms (Shazam is the biggest at 104 grams and about a 18" long, but Solstice is MUCH darker). I'll try to post updates tomorrow.

Wow! So not only do you get to take lots of pictures of tri-colored beauties, you then get to take pictures of the same snakes with completely different colors! I'm so intrigued. How old are they all?

I think they're all 2008 babies. My friend got Shazam last September... then bought the other two sometime soon after that. Now, I've got Shazam forever and the other two for a time.

Holy goodness! I guess I shouldn't be surprised since Sheldon's TBS is about seven feet; it just is surprising to think of them getting that huge when they're so small now!

They are! Snake in general, I mean. I keep learning new things every time I come to this website or do any looking around at all. I feel very lucky that Sheldon got me into them...really, they are wonderful creatures and I find them very relaxing.

Please tell me you'll post more pictures when Shazam gets bigger/starts changing color! I'm anxious to see him all grown up! :)
