updating & contributing

Twang'em into trees!
I just got my annual notice about my contributor status expiring: so, I did the kindly thing in today's crappy economy & clicked "contribute" & sent off my $25 to help keep this site going. I'm grateful for all of the help that it gave me & all of the connections that I made via this site, that I'm happy to keep contributing. Besides, I like the 'edit' button too much.

AND!!! Here's an update on my beautiful baby...:D I did birth (My Greatest Hatchling EVER!) & one-month (One Month Already!) threads, but I didn't do a two-month thread -- my thought was that Evelia was more interesting to *me* and I didn't want to post threads that might be uninteresting to others...well, I was corrected indeed at the expo in Wheaton last weekend, and as Evelia is turning 3 mos old on the 26th, I thought that I'd share a few photos of her -- showing you how much more beautiful she's become!

At 8 weeks -- lots of smiles (and laughs, for many weeks already!)!

At 9 weeks (I love when she crinkles her nose & her eyes disappear!):

And the next two photos are for Terri -- Evelia's chunky thighs!
10 weeks (about 12.5 lbb):

12 weeks (about 13.6 lbb; I'm lazy when it comes to resnapping her onesie -- I always only do the middle snap, and yes, she's wearing a cloth diaper!):

Ready for some trouble...!

And that's my gorgeous baby -- my greatest hatchling ever! Thanks! :wavey:

She's so adorable!!! Um, I think you forgot one girl in your update, though...I was just thinking about you and Jolie yesterday, when we were talking about dragons needing to be tucked in at night.

I used cloth diapers, too. I love it when babies don't have plastic crinkley butt.

You're right! Gorgeous! Keep taking pics (I know you'll hear this a zillion times) they grow up quick!

She's beautiful! We used cloth too. Love the tie dye socks! Gorgeous little girl! :)
Thanks! A friend from New Orleans sent them to us, along with a blue/purple pair. She's also got some tie-dyed onesies. :D

Now I see why I haven't seen ya around recently.....

Congrats. And good luck!
Thanks! I responded to you, though! I'm just a bit slower lately, but surely enough, I'll start coming 'round again...:)

Awww, thanks, Nanci. :) Jolie is quickly becoming Evelia's favorite, as well -- she loves watching her. And yes, Jolie still gets tucked in. :)

I love the picture with the hat, what a cutie!! What's the warning lable for, projectile vomit?? ;)
Thanks...:) Ohmigosh -- do you have a baby? There are warning labels in three languages on *everything*!!! Apparently, when one has a baby, research has discovered that common sense goes out the window, so I need a warning label to tell me to strap my child in so that she doesn't fly out of the seat & where/how to place it in the car. Oy, vey. And...let's hope that she doesn't projectile vomit! The most I've been dealing with lately is drool -- we think that she's begun to teethe...*sigh*

You're right! Gorgeous! Keep taking pics (I know you'll hear this a zillion times) they grow up quick!
You're right...*sigh* I can't believe that it's already been 3 mos...my lil'lady is already so big! I love that she's learning & growing, but I tell her every day, "Slow down! :eek1: Mama can't keep up with you...!" It's amazing, though...:D I cherish every day!

Thanks again, everyone! :wavey:

Hey Christina, I hate to do this but... I told you so!:nyah:
That kid is dang cute. It's not fair that you have selfishly horded your experience of the last couple of months. I'm sure you will be forgiven with continued postings of her growth in the thigh and rubberband wrist areas. As I said before, You done good!
Terri

Ahhhh...'tis all right, not the first time I've been told so. I shall do my best to redeem myself by sharing future thunder thigh & rubberband wrist (& chubby cheek!) photos -- because Lord only knows that my baby is guzzling away on me & making the most of it! :p Thanks, Terri!
