Used cars in Orlando/Daytona Beach

Hey all.

For anyone who lives in/around that area... Do you know where I can pick up a used car for under $1500?

I occasionally buy/sell used cars and I find the best deals on craigslist. you have to be patient but there will always be someone needing money and will have to sell a vehicle for considerably less than it is worth.

Thanks mate, I don't need to plan anything until next year but it's nice to have resources I can turn to when the time comes.

Dave you may want to check with the state. Not being a resident you may not be able to buy, title, register and license a vehicle.

Yes, I just bought a used van from a small dealer I found advertising on craigslist here in Ft. Myers, Florida. I would start checking it out several weeks before you come, to get an idea of normal prices. If you are not mechanically inclined, it might be worth spending $50 - $100 to have a mechanic check it out. We did that with the first van we chose, and found out that the $4K van had another $4K worth of repairs that were needed! We passed on that one, and chose another one!
