very small baby

i was at the pet store the other day to get some anamial food and they had jsut got in some new corn snakes which here very small. they we not even as thick as a pencil and there head was about the size of apiece of corn. Is this normal size for an baby?,or are they rights size.

Oh ya they guy said they were about 5-6 weeks old.
 
It does sound a bit small for corn snakes that are 5-6 weeks old (unless they are non-feeders), though.
