Vibram FiveFinger shoes

I don't think I would pay all that money for something thats going to make me look ridiculous LOL! In saying that, they are probably the comfiest shoes on earth... I just wouldn't be so daring to buy a pair :p

There is no way I'd pay money for something like that. Heck I won't pay more then 40 bucks for my work shoes, and I go through those like crazy. If I were to pay good money for a pair of shoe they better look good!...lol

I know a lot of people who trail run in them. From what I've heard, they are very nice. I bet Hector (UniqueSnakes) knows people who use them, too.

They remind me too much of toe socks. I got a pair one year for christmas(because I wanted them) and wore them ONCE. I just don't think I could bring myself to wearing something like that.

My sister bought me toe socks for christmas when I was @ 11. When I couldn't wear them she thought it was hilarious!

Here you go, as you can see the right foot is more joined. (But I really need new varnish!)

Oh I used to get teased mercilessly by my brother and sister about them, they claimed I was a mutant who'd been left on the doorstep! So then every hillbilly/inbreeding/horror story also got my toes involved too. My brother would also quote bits from John Wyndham's 'The Crysalids' at me (one of my first ever favourite sci-fi authors)

I was looking at these before and wondering about the whole barefoot running thing. I used to run a lot (in the Army though where I had too) and would get runners knee pretty bad. I wonder though if it wouldn't be just as good (and cheaper) to wear something like a moccasin that might do the same thing?

LOL If it were me...my brothers would have teased me too but I have quite a temper and was never shy about telling either of them off. I was the tougher of the three of us. The Crysalids is one my favourite books! I had to read it in high school (one of the only sci-fi books offered for school reading) and I still own it. *wanders off to the basement to dig through boxes of books* I need to read that again just for fun.

I have these socks for long distance running. They are seamless. After you have them on for a few minutes, you can't even feel them. The purpose is to help prevent blisters. If you're running really far, like 100+ miles, then you probably need to tape your feet.

If they were custom fit to the individual, I would definitely think they were awesome. I love the freedom of walking barefoot outside, even in the woods, so those seem like a great idea.

Wonderful, Janine! LOL.

Y'all are so funny.

They just remind me of Sasquatch. I guess all those cast footprints on cable and the MonsterQuest shows.

It seems like me that toes are too close together to put two walls of rubber or plastic or "Vibram" between them.

Chris, I'm liking these though, in the black and orange :

Of course, I don't think I could leave home in them. LOL.

Yeah the orange and black ones are cool, idk. I am probably getting a pair. I dont now if i was a pair like the orange and blacks with like the roof on the top of the shoe, or like the solid black ones with just the velcrow on top...hmm

My mistake, the black ones also have like the roof on them but its like solid, this onw looks like its kind of netting, which should i get guys??
