Vibration around a snakes vivarium

Might sound like a daft question but I'll ask it anyway.

I'm thinking of rearranging my room including my vivarium with a 5 year old corn in it and it occurred to me that maybe i should consider where I'm going to put my TV? If i was to put it near or even on the vivarium would the vibration do any harm to the snake? I'd be grateful for any advice.

My snakes Choco and Inez are about a foot- foot and a half away from the TV. Every night when we sit down to eat dinner and turn on the TV, Choco is out in ten minutes or less- begging to come out. Last night, we turned on a movie, and Greg says "Choco will be out soon!" and I said "I give him ten minutes," and he actually appeared _one_ minute later.

Inez, OTOH, is not a social snake and never comes out.

Another TV anecdote- I watched Snakes On A Plane with Addy. Every time thunder would crash, she would jump. She ended up burrowing into my hand completely.

We've got Hendrix in the living room, and we have hardwood floors, so he can feel the vibration of our footsteps....when we walk past the viv, he pokes his head out of the hide. Nosey parker!

That's how Maizey, in the kitchen, is. She's out the second we get up, get home, whatever. I think snakes that (going anthropomorphic here) want to come out are more in tune to when their people are available than snakes that do not care to come out and be handled.

I have a TV literally right next to my snakes and it doesn't appear to bother them. They seem to behave the same whether the TV is on or not.

I have my viv next to the computer on my desk, which is pretty much permanently on and producing vibrations (fans, hard drive etc) and my snake doesnt seem bothered about it.

If I play Loud music or have something else playing loud on the computer though he normally comes out to see what all the noise is, and i *swear* he watches tv when i forget to turn it off and goto work! Ive come home many times to see him sat on his log staring at the tv!

I have my Viv right on my desk near my computer, which doubles as my TV. My sub-woofer is under my desk. The only time Zeke gets freaked out is when there's a really loud, surprising sound, or when I accidentally kick the desk. So you'll probably be fine.

You need to train them, then!
