As some may have read in my other post i am in the planing stages of building a double stack viv out of either wood or melamine(spelling) with i am thinking sliding from doors. I have two questions the first being what are a few ways in which i could add ventilation to these tanks? As well as with having a wood bottom it seems from what i have read that i would need to put the UTH in the tank rather then under it how do i do about getting the cord out of the tank without having to put a big whole in order to fit the plug through? I am going to be using inside type water based varathane if i do the wood route which i probale will as this tank will also be for looks as well as houseing my corn babies. For the first year after this is built it will only house one corn as the other will be to small as currently it has not been laid yet let alone being hatched.
 
have you thought about putting a glass floor section in it "kinda like a window on the floor" for the uth?
 
you might be able to drill a hole for the uth plug and then get or make a wood plug with a slit in it just big enough for the power cord and seal up the hole that way?

See how mine has those vents in the back? And the cords for the fluorescent lights go through tiny holes, without their plugs- those are cut off, but you buy new plugs that you put the wire end in and it clamps shuts on it.
