Water and tank set up?

I just got a new tank, and i wanted to switch to a larger water dish, now that Herb is growing, so I just used one of those tupperware kinds of things that is about 2 inches deep, but I was just curious how much water I should be putting in there, I don't want to fill it up and have him drown or something.. And also, how much stuff should I put in his home? He has a nice little log hide that he LOVES to sleep under. He is in there pretty much 24/7, but I don't know what other types of toys and whatnot he would enjoy?
Thanks!

He won't drown, but as he gets larger, he will be able to tip it over. Which could lead to mold. I'd buy him a ceramic dog bowl of a size he can get his whole body into.

My snakes really enjoy cork bark to lay under, and, when small, those six foot long vines, which I gave up winding around stuff. Now I just scrunch it up to fit along the back wall and put it in. They also seem to love toilet paper rolls, for some reason.

Yeah I got him a nice big tree trunk to crawl around on and a paper towel roll. He loved both. And he has calmed down a lot since i got him a larger home. He let me just pick him right up last night and was perfectly calm in my hands. It was great. And he even came out and slept right in plain view. It was great.
haha just thought I'd share my excitement! He is getting comfortable finally, it's been 4 weeks now.
