Weight question

I am just curious about how many grams a 1 year old captive corn snake should weigh. My two, a hypo and a butter, both are about 9 to 10 months old and weigh 14 grams. They eat a pinkie about every 5 days no problem and look very healthy. I always see people post about their snakes weight, and so when I weighed mine and they were only 14 grams, I just thought that was light. They shed every few months and have grown a lot. I was considering feeding them two pinkies at a time now, but one gives them a good bulge as it is. I don't think they are ready for the bigger size pinkies. I think the ones I get are like 2 days old, but the ones that are a bit older just look too big.

Thanks!

Some questions.
How long have you have them?
Are they housed together or separately?
How are you heating them?

I have had them since babies...I am assuming 4 to 6 weeks old. I know it's not what people suggest nowadays, but 25 years ago when I was a kid, I kept a handful of corns/yellow rat snake in a big community tank and never had any issues. These two are housed together in a big enough tank, but I always feed them outside the cage. They almost always sleep together, and I don't think it's because they are fighting for the best spot in the tank. I can rearrange the tank, and they will still end up together. I heat from above with a light. They'll come out in the evening, most days to bask for a bit. I live in South Florida so the house is always 78 to 80. When they get a little bigger, I do plan to seperate them. The butter is a female, and I am not sure on the hypo, but I am thinking male. They are growing at the same pace, but weights just surprised me as low. They don't look bony or anything, and eat no problem every 5 days, unless shedding I don't attempt it. I see them drink regularly and no issues going to the bathroom.

Well since you know cohabbing isn't recommended anymore but you choose to do it anyway there's not much for me to say. I would bet money if you separated them and changed their heat to uth's on thermostat's you would see an increase in growth/weight within the first month.

I agree with the above.
That is very, very small for year old snakes. At a year all mine are about 100 grams. My babies that hatched in March are just a little smaller.. And eat less frequently.
