So, Cornwallis is about a year old now, and has grown TREMENDOUSLY from the little 6 gram wormlet he was when we got him. In fact, I'm worried he's a bit too tremendous. When we weighed him tonight, the scale read 170 grams! I'm not an expert, but that seems like an awful lot to me. He doesn't have "hips" or visible fatty deposits, but I'm still wondering if I should cut down on his food. We've been following the Munson Plan, except that I've been feeding him multiple fuzzies instead of bumping him up to weanlings or small adults because we still have a a LOT of fuzzies left (with only two snakes, it takes us a while to get through a package). He's getting about 18-20 grams worth of mouse once a week. Does this seem like too much?
I know this is highly variable, but how much should a yearling snake usually weigh? Does anyone else have yearlings that are approaching the 200 gram mark? It's worth noting that Cornwallis is an eating machine who never refuses a meal, ever, not even in deep blue. Any thoughts?
