Weird scales...wound?

So as I was taking some pictures I thought I'd get an up-close shot of my snake's two weird looking scales. One I've noticed for about a week or so, but the other is new to me. They're both in generally the same location, same saddle:

I'm thinking maybe he poked himself on something in the viv? It's the only thing I can think of. I have since taken a hot glue gun and covered up some potential pointies (ie on the end of his vines).

I'm just a bit confused...I don't get to watch him roaming around at night so I don't know how he could possibly have done this.

Any other ideas of how this could have happened, or things I should check for in his viv? I don't want him getting hurt!

Also - do I need to put anything on this or should I just wait until after his shed to see what happens here?
 
I think it looks like a dry scale left from the last shed. I don't think it looks like anything to worry about.
 
It is hardly noticeable unless you're shooting macros. To the naked eye it just looks like he has two slightly duller scales.
 
Like Wade said, could be scales that remained from a shed. It could also be from him possibly causing those spots to rip open while in "blue" and shedding off too early. Kind of like a sunburn peeling off too early. I would say he will be fine as well and you have already "pointie" proved his viv!

Hahah, yes, I've pointie-proofed it alright. Thanks for the reassurance that he doesn't have some sort of exotic disease! I'll keep an eye on it and hopefully he gets around to shedding. He's taking his sweet time!
 
If you that concerned...put a little bit of Neosporen (Triple Antibiotic Cream) on the spots. Do not use the one with any "pain reliever" in it though.

Gotcha. I don't think it's bothering him, but I'll keep an eye on it.

Y'know...I've been waiting since Fri when he went clear for him to shed. Saturday he went clear. Now it's Monday and I'm getting verrrrrrrry impatient!!
