...well, here we go

OB threw some really nice motley pinstripes last year in the premie and the DIEs, They almost looked like tesseras. Hoping for similar markings this year.

Well I just found out that so far as of yesterday from this clutch there were 5 pippies (of course they would pip on my dads birthday and their moms hatchdate) I was told I would get to see pictures today... I have not heard what morphs they are but I promise that if there is no news from SierraHerps (My Parents) that I will get pictures when I am at there house on Sunday and share!

I know... Right? Now as long as they are all healthy and eat without much encouragement... It kind of makes up for all their losses over the last 3 years.

Just got off the phone with my pop, the first one hatched yesterday and it is a tiny motley caramelish looking, probably just a normal mot. The other 4 pips just have their tips of their noses stickin out so they don't know if there are any amels.

You'll probably have to wait till Monday when dad sets up his new computer for the puppy pictures and such. But I'll get pics of whatever hatchlings are out on Sunday, maybe tomorrow if I lose patience lol.

Anybody have pictures of upper keys mot hatchlings? So I can show them, to compare. They tend to get a little confused on genetics. They told me that the one hatchling that's out is a carmot. But I doubt that OB is het for caramel so I think it is probably just an upper keys mot.

Hey guys, just got back from my parents place saw there 5 hatchlings. They are all normals, they have motleyish markings but their bellies are all paterned so I don't know what happened there. One of the parents must not be a motley. I got some pictures an I will load them up soon. They have 1 more starting to pip and 1 more egg that should still be good.

Looking back at some pictures of smokee she also has belly markings so I guess she's not a motley. Just has motleyish patterns like her offspring.

WOW A major congrats to your parents!! The need it after the last few years.

Hell ain't that the truth! AND THANK YOU SO CHRISTEN LUV! Bought our first breeders for the 2009 spring lay... and through ALL the death that year, and all the eggs and dies for the next 2 years, WE DO DESERVE THIS! lol . although, wouldn't ya know it, 2 days ago, our over 5' long BIG AZZ and ONLY adult male, "OB", escaped and has not been seen since... guess we still had to have SOME tragic part...sigh!
And may be only the 6 wee ones we got, but they are the legisy of OB's only surving sired clutch!, and they may be from a different female... but dang! THESE 6 PIPPIES ARE GORGEOUS! -these 6 pippies hatched SLOWLY too. from the first one, "MYNE"! Jul 12, to the 6th one, "PSYCO" on the 16th.
ALSO, THANK YOU JR!! (and I do have some GREAT pics, just not on this PC yet) now, all 6 have shed, and 2 have eaten, (MYNE twice) and the other 4 are SNAPPY little things so have no doubt will be eating soon too!
HUGE HUGS AND MEGA THANKX TO ALL YA ALL HERE TOO!!, ESPECIALLY NANCY, KATHY, BILL & CHRISTEN just to name a couple... more thankx coming soon when I get my pics up!

Oh no OB is gone? I think I found a male that would be perfect to match with smokee.
He is an 08 proven breeder het caramel motley. If you pair them up you'll get normals, amels, ultramels, caramels, butters and golddusts. tempting?

Thankx for the tip JR and I'll check it out, but seriously...? Dad & I were looking in the more like 60.00 to 100.00 range, not to mention, we KNOW what we get from Smokee now and what we got from Lil Momma was way more purdy, according to your dad. (Yes die's and alll, oh wait, THEY WERE ALL DIES HUH! lol) Love ya kids! Pics are up on FB too!

The reason you got such boring hatchlings from smokee is because OB and smokee don't have any genes that matched up except amel, but you just didn't happen to get any amels. That happens sometimes. Doesn't mean you can't get cool hatchlings from her you just need a male with genetics that match up to hers to make cool morphs.

The best idea is to find a male that carries the genes that would give both your girls cool hatchlings. And I can tell you that an ultramel het caramel motley would work well with both of them.
