And we've decided to start with Oleanders! Well, just one little Oleander anyway. I simply ran out of pronounceable rock, gem, mineral names and had to find a new theme! One with LOTS of choices! lol

Little Oleander is a Miami het motley from Carol - Isn't she just gorgeous? Um.. excuse the dirty photos, her water spilled in her deli and I only snapped a few quick shots before placing her into her new home. I'll get better pics of her once she's settled into her new home.

Thanks again Carol!

It should take a long time for you to use up all the horticultural names!! And you started off with a nice toxic one! She looks great!

Nanci

She's absolutely beautiful! I love the name too. Opens up a whole plethera of possible future names! :)

Congrats, Jenn. She's beautiful. I still can't believe I sold the '05 Miami I bought from Carol. She looked very much like yours. Every time I see a nice Huddleston Miami, I experience deep regret for selling her. :( They're some of the most beautiful corns period.

Nanci mentioned..

And you started off with a nice toxic one!

Jenn wanted a change in names.. Of course flowers seemed like an obvious choice.. The Miami is going into one of my side projects, and I sort of thought the name Oleander seemed cheerful for a constrictor.. Of course I initially suggested Black Oleander, but somehow we came down to just Oleander..

Thanks for the kind comments.. I was waiting for this girl a bit, so thank you Carol for producing this little one, and VJ thank you for babysitting her until I could come and pick her up..

Regards.. Tim of T and J

That was one of the reasons why we went with that theme! lol... Endless possibilities, though there are a few gem names still in reserve waiting for the appropriate snake (Amber for a an Amber or Butter, Diamond for a blizzard, and Tin for something silvery grey ie: Phantom or Hypo Pewterish lol)

Thank you everyone for the compliments! I'm very happy with how much better this little girl looked in person (and she was no slouch on film either!) I can't wait to see how she looks in a years time!

Dean, Tim felt the same way about the Abbott's Okeetee female we sold off earlier this year. We needed to make room though and we really had no solid plans for her. She was a looker though.

This next little girl is a N/F that we picked up from Vinny - a pretty little normal - who chowed down her first meal today for us. I was planning on waiting at least two more days, but one of my big black female mice dropped a fresh litter yesterday, and they were the perfect size. So, I dropped it in and tucked her away in a dark corner and a few hours later the pinky had vanished - just like magic!

Say hello to little Petunia:

I will of course, get better pictures in a few days when she settles down and after she takes at least one more meal for me. Oh, and if you want to now my secret for getting her to eat - it was a 3 hour drive with her sitting next to the MBK we brought home, she got the message LOUD and clear! lol

Jenn

Hey, congratulations! You get so much freedom naming them when you know they'll never respond to it anyway. It looks like Carol is doing well with the cs.com set this year, which is great to see. I've always thought the normals were the coolest (although Hematite is beyond cool).

lol, after all of the thought we've put into naming them - you'd think they'd be kind enough to recognize it after hearing it once or twice eh? lol... Thanks for the comments!

(I should be posting pics of Hematite soon too - he just shed last night as is looking brighter then ever!)
