Thanks Jenn, I think i'll try misting this time.next shed i'll try the wet hide!![]()
Can you please let us know if there is a difference? We have always misted Cheerio before her shed. Lately I've been thinking a moist hide would be better, but what if my snake doesn't use the hide?
I am not sure either but misted and she seems to like a damp corner of the cold aspen pretty much all the time?? She sheded last night and all looks great, came of in two large sections on damp paper towel I put on top of warm side hide (really rough wood hide)??

Just to keep you advised, you should probally not be misting so much that it's making the aspen damp, if it does you should remove it as soon as you suspect the aspen has become "damp" that's how it harbours bacteria and mould and is no good for your snake.

Corny Noob Well it's not as if I soak the animal...they don't have much of a choice in the wild with the humidity either...
The main difference for me, is when using a humid hide, you increase humidity locally. So your corn can choose if it wants to be in a more humid environment,
whilst with just spraying thevivarium you give your snake no choice but to be more humid all the time.
