heres the scoop we are kinda new to snakes in general but most of all new to corns. I was looking on craigs list the other day and found an add for an adult corn. so i call and the guy wanted $75 for it. the description said albino corn so i was interested on what flavor it was. we have already spent 300 smackaroos in the last week on corns and a ball, so we decided not to go get it. the kid called me back about 20 minutes later and said how about 50 bucks and he would give me the aquarium so i asked how big the aquarium was and it was a 75 gal. so of course it was to good to pass up so we left for an hour road trip to check it out. when i saw it i knew we was going to take it home, like i said i'm new to all the colors of the corns and one of the corns we bought at the herp show was a beautiful 08' butter. this big guy looks just like it only big. my ? is what do you all think the flavor is and how GOOD of a deal. WOW.

He weights 645g and is about 38-40" long very healthy looking and very well maintained. he said he could not afford to feed it any more and by the looks of it they needed the money.

Thanks for looking at our newest addition untill wednesday we have 2 Loves coming in. ( Thanks Kathy we cant wait).

Eric

Sure looks butter to me! and what a steal!!! the 75 gal aquarium is worth twice that alone!!! congrats on a great deal and a beautiful snake!!

It could also be a snow. Some do develop a great deal of yellow in their saddles and people often mistakenly refers to snows as "albinos".

What a great deal!! I thought snow, as well, but also considered butter. Make sure you keep him quarantined from the other new babies!!

I thought snow, too. I think the likelihood of a butter going white is far more of a stretch than a snow (and snows vary greatly) that looks a little yellow, pink, green, etc.

Kinda a random question, but he isn't from Lakewood or North Ridgeville, is he? haha, I've been eyeing a similar adult out of those areas. Where exactly is VanWert?

thanks to all for the replys. looks like snow is the majority. ShadowStrike Van Wert is in northwest Ohio were about exactly half way between Lima, Ohio and Fort Wayne, Indiana. The pic doesnt do him justice, the background color is kind of a cream to light yellow. I wouldn't have guessed a snow. looks like I need to do some more research and I know i've got alot more learning to do. I'm going to take him to the rep. show in Indianapolis next weekend, if anyone is going to be there let me know I would like to put a face with a online name. this will be my 2 year olds first show he is going to crap.

Thanks again Everyone help is always appriciated

Beautiful!!!! what a steal..... lovely snake...I second the keeping him in quarantine, just to be safe.

I would say an excellent example of a snow or a high white butter.. LOL hey you never know ;) Breeding will be the only way to tell for sure, as usual. Maybe a butter/snow belly check comparison will help?

Hello Eric :wavey: I would also say snow.

I too live in NW Ohio, Montpelier. It's about 35 to 45 min drive north of you. I will also be selling at the Indy show on the 21st. You'll have to stop by and talk.
