Aww, totally forgot about those. Very cool.

I rarely take and keep anything out of the wild because I feel what starts in Nature should stay in Nature ...but I am going to keep this little guy for a while and help him grow up some more before i let him loose.

I've had a couple. They ate crickets. They spent nearly all their time underground, or with just their heads sticking out. They were really flighty and never got tame. I worried a lot about breaking their tails off. I love how they feel- you can tell they have a lizard skeleton not a snake skeleton- very inflexible because they still have the shoulder girdle and pelvis. Super easy to care for. I liked mine, but released them when I needed a viv for Addy. I see them DOR a lot- probably the most common DOR thing I see- so you're definitely prolonging the life of yours by giving him a respite in captivity.

This fella is taming down a little bit, and is eating very well on crickets and meal worms. These are the things I feed my tarantula so they are already there thus it is no bother to keep this little guy for a while. He has a nice ten gallon set up with moss, and dirt and water trays, so I think he is living the high life for right now.

I too am extra careful not to really handle him unless I have to for fear of it breaking off its tail. I would HATE for that to happen...
