What are the effects of....

no you shouldnt smoke weed around your snake or put a marijuana plant in the enclosure or put hash in its water i think that about covers all my stupid ideas anyways

I don't even want to address the stupidity of this question... but I will remind you that reptiles are instinctual animals.

There is a thread that deals with this in depth. You should be able to find it by performing a search.

no question is a stupid question doesn't mean hes gonna go try and get his snake high probably just curious about 2 things he loves dearly lol

THC on corn snakes?
What is the premise of this question? Why would you want to get your snakes high? Cause you think it's cool? You do this to your cat or dog too don't you? Why would you want to subject an animal to something like this? Why would you even want to know the answer? What would make you want to ask a question like this? I don't understand, please inform me. You have all the right in the world to do what you want to yourself but what gives you the right to induce this kind of abuse towards another animal? I don't get it and I don't feel this question validates an answer. :shrugs:

Given all the events of the recent days, I too hope this is a random question but since as far as I know this is an illegal substance, why would one need to know. If I had to pick between a casual mention of a persons alternative life style and the effects of smoking pot on my snake. I would take the former, but then some think that should be confined to pm's. Well so should the latter. susang

Appreciate it :)

Ummm... Let me see how to put this... Ok, so I phrased it in the form of a question because I did not know. If that doesn't "validate an answer" then please tell me what might.

Abuse?

Since your curious as of how my intricate thought process works, I was feeding my snake and he did not eat right away. My friends in the living room were partaking in some... umm.. "relaxing," when someone shouted the across the room, "dude get him high, then he'll eat!" Obviously that's not logical, but it was still an interesting question. Have I validated myself yet?

Do you think you rephrased your question enough there?

Interesting? I was at least 20 feet away, still plausible? Also my roommates snake ate at the same time and same place. I attributed it to the fact that my snake will never eat out in the open, which he has proven every time.

Curious.

Any tobacco smokers here? There seems to be an awful lot of hostility towards this guy, especially before his update. He may have just been asking to see if it was safe to smoke around his snake.

I sincerely hope none of you who criticized him smoke cigarettes around your animals.

My dad smoked with reckless wonton abandon, I am so glad to be out of that house.
*hugs her poor one lunged animals*

And I'm sorry...(well sorta) but how often do we here of people going "OMG GIVE THE SNAKE MUNCHIES" VS "OMG GIVE THE SNAKE A NICOTINE ADDICTION"

One certainly seems to be more prevalant of an issue, especially with younger people. (I'm including myself in the 'younger' age range)
