Alright this isn't a pic of Benji but it looks almost exactly like him! I was told he was a Creamsicle but I google searched it and all the creamsicles I saw where WAY oranger and has a different pattern((Not sure if pattern has anything to do with it)) and way I'm starting to think that Benji is actually something different....what it's you opinion?

That's one big picture! That picture you show, is of an Amel. If you go to the website, you took the pic from (reptilewonders.com), it lists that snake as an albino, which basically, is the same as an Amel.

The snake you have, if it is a creamsicle, would mean it was a hybrid cross of an emori and a corn.

A pic of your snake could help us in determining what you have.

I do believe you have an amel.
Amels are VERY common, one of the few morphs pet shops carry. Amels are also very bright and beautiful.
That is why almost everytime someone gets a first corn and asks the forum what it is, without even looking at a picture I can always guess it's an amel. Their bright gorgeous colors and ready availability attracts newbie corn owners like a moth to a lightbulb.

Oh, and you ask, what was MY first cornsnake?
You guessed it, an amel!!
(his name is Calvin and he is 14 years old now)

I will get a pic of Benji up ASAP. This computer hates file from e-mailed form my phone and won't down load them. I'll be sure to post them form the other computer though.

Yes his colors are gorgeous :) But it was his ability to be handled easily and friendliness that made me fall head over heels :3 I searched a lot of places and even found a Motley Snow that was just STUNNING but wasn't as friendly. I would rather have a plainer snake that is mega friendly and handle-able then a gorgeous snake that is a biter ect.

Benji in the flesh....er...scales:

The only two pics I could get to download -_- Second one is a bit blurry. But I'm still learning how to hold a wiggly snake in one hand and a camera in the other. I haven't dropped him so there's some points for me! :) *knocks on wood*

I'd say that if you were sold him as a Creamsicle, then that's what he is. They can look very much like Amels depending on what percentage of their ancestry is non-Corn.

The thing is I'm not sure if the employee knew what he was talking about...the owner of the store who breeds them wasn't there to ask and I was going to get him no matter what he was.

I'd check back with the store owner when he's there then, as that's really the only way you'll ever be certain. You can't go on looks alone - if maybe only one grandparent was non-Corn, then a Creamsicle could be near impossible to tell from an Amel.

Pure Corns are rarely accidentally labelled as hybrids, because pure Corns tend to command slightly higher prices.

Thank you all for you opinions : ) I'm going to go make a stop at the store to see the owner today. I need to get a couple more pinkies for him too.
