What is it?? motley granite??

John3:16

Well this is me....
My daughter bought a new corn snake today. :dancer:

It was listed as a "black bloodred"..so I'm thinking anery bloodred = granite..right?
I *think* its also a motley...but the diffusion is crazy!!!!!

Not a single mark on the belly....pearly white.

We went in to get my other daughter another snake..she came out with an adorable Kenyan sand boa!!!!!

Anyway...We had been looking at the "black bloodred" one, and when the first daughter decided against it, I had my eldest hold it....lol...big mistake!

She decided she wanted it, and had the money and space in her rack......I said, "are you sure you want to spend the money?"..........and the pet store manager offered it to her for half price.....$22.00!!!!!!

It turns out it was a faux "hateling"......But thanks to you guys we knew how to handle it!!!!

The pet store people(not the manager) were terrified of it...When you open the tank it would Assume an aggressive strike position!

I remembered about "angry Velcro" and presented the back of my hand to it....3 really fast strikes and then it turned and ran..I scooped it up and the poor thing was terrified......I let it run through my hands till it calmed down and passed it off to the girls.

Soooooooooooo, what the heck is it?!?!?!?!:)

thanks!
It shed last night!!!
You should see it now!!!
I'll try to get pix.....
I think I can see where it would have the saddles if the diffusion didn't go up so high!!!!!
It's as sweet as can be!!

Let's see some post shed pictures! I would guess either Granite or Pewter. It's kind of hard to tell while it's in shed. Judging by the amount of yellow it has though, I'm leaning towards Granite.

Don't assume that there are any Motley genes involved though. :smash:
At the best there could be pos hets, but only breeding trials can prove any suspect genes.

Granite, or ~maybe~ Pewter but I think it's a Granite. Probably not motley, the pattern looks to me like what diffused does to saddles. Sweet pick especially at $22, and already eating! Of course I gather hatelings often are good eaters.

Thanks everyone!!!:)
Now that I know what I'm looking for it is NOT motley.

I'll get some post shed pix tomorrow in the natural light.
It sure is pretty!!!!!!
