I found this little guy near the AT in New Jersey. Never seen anything like it, but I looked it up and he appears to be a giant swallowtail catepillar (How do you spell this word?) Anyone care to confirm this or correct me?

I don't know what it is, but a quick google search showed it's not a giant swallowtail caterpillar.

Right, I looked it up in a caterpillar book and found nothing that resembled this particular specimen- the illustration of the giant swallowtail looked most like it, bust still not quite... Anyone got a clue?

No, I've never seen that one before. I just looked for a site that showed a bunch of caterpillars and then scrolled through the pics. :) The caterpillar is definitely nicer than the moth...not a big fan of moths. LOL
