This is a cool old thread, thanks for reviving it! My amel is named Bobo, and my normal is named Skizzard. Skizzard's name comes from the pair of scissors on his head pattern. Bobo's name is more complicated. I was working on a project at work and came across this funny name, "Bobo Valdez" and I had just gotten him. For whatever reason, the name just stuck in my head. Here's my two babies.

mine is named felix. i was watching this old episode of felix the cat and she was very interested in the tv. she stood up in her cage and started dancing. i asked her "you like this show?" then she stoped dancing. this is why i named her felix

I have too many to start naming them. They probably think they're in prison
since they only have #s.

Hah! that just cracked me up, i just pictured a bunch of snakes in orange jumpsuits with numbers painted on them.

oh BTW, names are in the sig line...I usually dont name any pet until I have it for at least a month and it's in good health. otherwise I get so attached...

This is a cute thread....

My 2 yr old male normal is named Gredin> French meaning scoundrel, rascal, or rogue.

My little 3 month old is named Sorsha> inspired by sorcery, Irish/Gaelic (Sorcha) meaning intelligent, bright, or radiant. Intentionally spelled with an sh instead of a ch.

The first cornsnake I ever owned was named Grey, he was a bloodred :). Grey actually referred to his essence however. The idea was that snakes are often associated with extreme view points. They are represented as evil creatures (black) or, however rarely, good creatures (white). But in my opinion they are neither black or white, good or evil, but rather grey beings possesing both qualities, just like so many other creatures (including us).

Yes, I know. . . . There was WAY too much thought put into those names :bang: :blowhead:

Oops, could have mentioned the others and their names before hitting 'submit reply' and you know of noticed it...

Henry Rollins : wicked cute sunglow motley
Wendy O Williams (named by my sister,mind..) : 'Blue' motley
Kim Nekroman : Bloodred
Bettie Page : 'Blue' motley
Annabelle Lee: Pastel 'Blue' motley

All the snakes I have named myself have names associated with colors.

My corn snakes are:

Snow--snow corn
Sunset--amelanistic, because his colors remind me of a sunset
Garnet--bloodred (not firm on this one)
Amel het lav--no name yet, but I'm considering Copper

My king snake:

Onyx--banded California King, named for the blackness of his head

Ball pythons (not named by me):

Monty, my son's snake. He is named after Uncle Monty, the herpetologist from A Series of Unfortunate Events
Slider, adopted, the name came with him.

Indiana (AKA "Indy")...if I get two other corns I will name them Anna and Jones and just refer to Indy as Indy XD

See below for morphs/species:

Blutengel; means blood angel, she is an amel... Blutengel is a German band I like
Beure la Belle; French for something like beautifull butter, which she is
Sig; rune sign for sun, she is a motley stripe sunglow
Poing; named by my friend; he wanted me to take him too when I got Blutengel cause he liked him. He always wanted to name a pet Poing..
Perseus; first Medusa, turned out to be a he, and Persues killed Medusa...
Freya; just like to name a snake after a god... this name fitted her
Elrond; not too handsome anery IMO but he has got an X-factor, like Elrond from LoftR
Lullaby; because she is soooo mellow when out and uses to fall asleep in the hood of a oded sweater
OLAV; LAVender male, and I have a friend called Olaf which I thought was funny
Auria; Aurius is Latin for gold and he she is a quite yellow yellow ratsnake
Ayla; main character from a series of books I really like (siutated in the days of cave people)
Zoltan; from the movie Dude where is my car" which I really like". Zoltan is the name of a mysterious leader of a crazy group of people waiting for aliens to come to pick then up. I think this snake has a mysterious look.
Unnamed lav striped king lady; just haven't found the perfect name yet, but could be Lavinia.
Smeagol; Pithuophis bought as being mean, but actually he is a good guy, reminded me of the character of Smeagol.
