What is your cornsnakes name?

motley normal male, charlie, after my granddad who died just before i got him.
anery female, scout.
"sunglow" amel, pele, after the hawaiian goddess of volcanos, who apparently has a temper, as does this funny little girl. it's a good thing i haven't the slightest fear of her. she's so tiny, but tries SO hard to look big and scary if we accidentally spook her. it really makes me laugh.

I don't name my snakes

but my other half does. And good names I think.
Sunglow- Mango
Normal- Average Joe
Bloodred- Dracula (my suggestion)
Striped corn- Colonel
Amel-Mandarin
Snow- Snowflake
Florida King- King (I wanted Elvis)
Eastern King- Letter (chain pattern)
She has another amel and a reverse Okeetee to name yet.

Probably the most noteworthy corn I have is "Deathy", short for Deathrull. He's the ultramel motley het butter that sired the odd hatchlings which lead to the Ultramel mystery thread. I spent a good 2 weeks (back in the day) taking photos to prove to Don S. that he wasn't an Amel at one point. ;)

Some of my other favorites are:
Vector Sigma (Siggy), Nightbird (Birdy), Galvatron (Galvy), and Dynablade.
Other recent ones are Snarf (butter stripe), Penfold (caramel stripe), Dangermouse (anery stripe).

If you're really interested in the full list of names, go ahead and do a search for Active Snakes owned by Kat Hall on the ACR website... there's lots. Most of the names are based off of 80's characters, but a few are based off of RPG characters that either I or my friends have created at one point or another (Deathrull is one of them). It makes them easier to remember... plus I hate to use number designations for a snake.

Mine are: Leroy, Julie, Poison, Abigail, Roger, Venus, Sonny Crockett, Estefani, Big Earn, Hal, Helen, Bill, Beatrix, Melbourne, Lil, Holden, Hedda, Hydi, Paula, Paul, Carmen, Vlad, Violet, Cornelius, Corina, Gil, Galadriel, Gelinda, Gwen, Striker, Elaine, Valerie, Gloria, and Melanie.

My usual rule is to spend no more than 60 seconds choosing a name. Most were named before I ever saw them in person. :)

Hey Dean, are your non-corns in that list?

My Amel is Firebolt. When we first put her in her cage, she "bolted" from one side to the other and her color is red (Fire). Also since my kids love Harry Potter, his broom is a Firebolt.

New Name

for the reverse Okeetee. Lisa made me name a snake for once. I kept trying to find something to equate to the reverse aspect. Having played some ball in my day I named her after the the greatest wide receiver to run the reverse; Paul Warfield. Lisa hates it but she forced my hand.
Warfield it is.

Amel - Phinius (I just like the name)

Ghost - Cleopatra (aka. Cleo) - (my husband named her)

My amel's name is Hurdle because of some hurdles that had to be jumped to ship him, and my emoryi's name is Maize (typical name for a corn, I know).

All of my snakes are named after gods of Norse mythology.

My first snake, Balder, was a creamsicle corn. He was named after the god of light whom everyone loved and who was typically represented as a young man with orange hair. I just named him that because he was orange. According to the myths, Balder (the god) died when he was fairly young and was supposed to be resurected later on. The snake Balder died fairly young. .

Well you kinda shoulda seen that one coming dont call any of your snake Odin if you don't want any Eye accidents. Tyr is safe i guess since they dont have hands LOL

I personally don't name animals after gods but that could be because I actually follow said deities.Don't have a problem with you doing it per say.
But think on this what if I called my next snake Jesus. (I wouldn't, just saying)

may snakes name

By the by my Amel is named Solstice

She was very white(winter) and Orange(summer) when I first saw so thus Solstice to cover both seasons.
I think it works cause her personality has two sides as wel.
