Adam and Steve: '05 normal and amel males, had lived together for nearly a year before I got them, decided not to separate. A nod to "Adam and Eve", with a "Brokeback Mountain" twist.
Mrs. Muir: '05 Ghost female, named for the classic film, "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir".
Edie: '05 Amel female, bought as a mate for Steve. Named for the showbiz couple, Steve Lawrence and Edie Gorme, commonly billed as "Steve and Edie".
Bing: '06 Snow male, named for Bing Crosby, (White Christmas!)
Lena: '06 Anery female, name for Lena Horne, the prettiest black woman I could think of.
Gummi: '06 amel male. He reminded me of Gummi candy when I bought him, so....
Snickers: '06 normal female, possible mate for Gummi. Kept the "candy kids" idea going....

Parkay: '06 Amel het butter + motley. Remember the Parkay margarine commercials? Okay, so I'm showing my age.
Hyacinth: '06 lavender male. His parents were Icarus and Azalea, so kept the Greek myth and flower theme. Hyacinth was a lover of Apollo who was killed by a stray lighting bolt. Where his blood hit the ground, the flowers grew. Hy is a non-feeder, so very tiny for his age. I call him "Shoestring"
Xanadu: '06 ghost female. Parents were Xander and Zoe, so I kept the "X sounds like Z" theme
Medger: '06 Anery male. Bought as a future mate to Lena. In the movie, "Ghosts of Mississippi", about the murder of civil rights leader Medger Evers, his widow reads a police report that makes the ludicrous claim that she had her husband killed because she thought he was having an affair with Lena Horne. Great move, great performance by Whoopie Goldberg as his widow. Now Medger gets his chance to be with Lena, and Merlie, his widow, will have to learn to like it :grin01:
Last but not least, Rocco: '06 Baird's Rat Snake. He facial patterning reminds me of a boxer who took one to the face, busting his nose, and leaving him with two black eyes and a butterfly bandage. As soon as I saw his photo, I knew he was meant to be mine, and knew his name was "Rocco Bairdi", the middleweight rat snake champion.
