What kind of music do you all like?

Whatever is on the radio, I'm not much of a music fan TBH.

I don't have a style to listen to, since when I do listen to music it's pretty much a mix of everything.

Hey Nitelion94. What about Mercy Me or Casting Crowns? Although, they may not be as rock-n-roll as some of the bands you like....

There ok. But untill a very short time ago I hated music and I am still not a big fan of slow stuff so I find it hard to get into them. I do love East to the West and Voice of Truth by Casting Crowns tho.

Well yea Weird Al might not be a band but he has a band I am just not sure what its called. His best song is umm well I love all most all of it. Canadian Idiot is pretty epic.

Where are all the fans of electronica? I know there are other snake keepers listening to house music!

It's a cliche answer, but I really do like a bit of everything. Rock/alternative, pop, dance/electronica, rap/hip-hop, trip-hop, a bit of blues and folk here and there as well. Love 80's and 90's music. What I listen to all depends on my mood and the setting. Music is not just a passive experience; it serves a function in a place, time and context. I tend to care about songs or albums more than following particular artists, also, which makes it hard for me to discuss music sometimes.

Well.. I will listen to just about anything except hard rap and country music.

The music and bands I love are a hell of a mix. My fav bands/singer is:

Velvet Acid Christ
Journey
Meat Loaf
Def Leopard
Black Sabbat
Eminem
Janet Jackson

Oh, lots more but can't think of them all right now.

Anberlin, Relient K, Mae, Saosin, Secret and Whisper, Cartel, Chevelle, Regina Spektor... that's all the springs to mind. There are days when I love All American Rejects and Red Jumpsuit apparatus (the newer songs from them), and the oldest Three Days Grace CD.

Other than that, I avoid rap, hip hop, and country. Well, let's change that. Anything that isn't rock I avoid, except for 90s music. I grew up on 90s music so I adore it.

I like almost everything, with the possible exception of twangy country and non-musical rap and hip-hop. Led Zeppelin, Diana Krall, SRV, CSN(Y), Jimi, Paul Simon (and Garfunkle),Dire Straits. Etc.
I tend to like classic rock, and have a soft spot for the bluesier songs. Right now I'm a big fan of the Reins, which is a local band led by a buddy from work and his girlfriend. She has an awsome blues voice and they write all their own songs. I'm going to see them play tonight. Can't wait to hear their new stuff.

Wow... Im noticing a pretty solid trend here. I guess ill be the one to break it!

MC Chris
MC Frontalot
Deltron
MF Doom
Dr. Octagon
Optimus Rhyme

Thats just the tip of the Nerdcore Iceburg.

But i can go in the opposite direction too.

Circus of Dead Squirrels
Hadouken
Mindless Self Indulgence
KMFDM
MDFMK (i swear its a different band!)
NIN
Mankind is Obsolete

And you cant forget...

The Presidents of the United States
Tenacious D

And pretty much everything made before 1990!

I don't really like to listen to a lot of music....but I love the Lord of the Rings movie sountracks, and I just got the How To Train Your Dragon soundtrack which is also really really good.....I only ever listen to music when I am driving somewhere in the car. As long as its something I can sing to I will like it. This is one of my favorites from the radio: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qY--Yu4kzz0 I like it because its a drive-around-in-a-convertible-with-the-top-down-singing-your-head-off song :p

I have a pretty eclectic mix of classic rock, older metal, reggae, rock en espanol, some newer alternative stuff and even a bit of country, not much a hip hop or rap fan but some is OK (like older Beastie boys)
Some of the reggae I listen to has some very meaningful (spiritual if not traditionally christian) lyrics and message behind the music.
I agree about Pandora being a great way to find new music.
PS just found this old pic I took in '06 ...I love Iron Maiden
(and I hate Lady Gaga)
