I'm thinking of buying my cornsnake a new home. It's 36"x24"x24" and was wondering if someone could recommend what wattage heat lamp I'd need.

always a variable depending on ambient heat, substrate type, ventilation, ext...

i'd probably start with a 75F and go from there... if too hot, drop it down to a 50 or 60, if too cold, bump up to a 110W...

Heat lamps can sometimes cause humidity problems.
Especially if the cage will be in a dry environment. My apt's heat stays above 80 degress F. in the winter (building regulated- I can't lower it). Nibblet's 1st shed came off in pieces (not a good sign). Since I've began misting the viv daily, the next 2 sheds came off in one piece.

LOL You're funny Lenny :) I agree. Forget the heatlamp and go with a UTH Corns are normally found on the ground and bellyheat is what is important during digestion.
